What do porn webmasters think about casino webmasters?

I'm curious, what do all you porn guys think about the casino side of this business? As an established casino webmaster attempting to expand into porn, I don't think of the two as being much different.

I had an interesting conversation with a well known pornographer last night, who apparently doesn't have the highest opinion of online casinos in general. True there have been a lot of casino scams, but no more than porn scams. However said pornographer found it hard to believe that there was any casino affiliate program that paid it's webmasters, he was convinced they're all rip-offs. He's entitled to his opinion, but the truth is there are several top notch casino programs, that pay webmasters just as much every month as the major porn affiliate programs do. There are also places where the casino industry is far ahead of porn, for example a good casino affiliate program has 24/7/365 phone and e-mail support for not only players but webmasters as well.

So, I'm trying to find out the consensus around here regarding the gaming side of the business, please vote and/or share your thoughts on the subject. I'm be very interested to hear from any people who post here and are mainly into gaming, have you noticed anything like what I mentioned above?

Thanks. I suppose I'm not helping the matter with my sig, but I don't mean it as an insult to tgp webmasters, hell I'm getting into the tgp game myself. It's meant to make people think about how valuable casino traffic is, and maybe try their hand at generating some gaming traffic.

I have worked 2 years as a designer for an Online Casino and currently I am working for cashpartner.com
I know both sides of the story as an employee and as an independed webmaster.
There are bad people everywhere. Just be carefull who you deal with, do some research. There is a lot of money in both areas. But I think there is less competition in the casino business and easier to make money for someone that is just starting. On the other hand in the porn idustry if you work hard (even making galleries all day) you WILL make money 100%

That's for overture clicks for the term "casino", it fluctuates anywhere from $15-$30 per click based on the market. Try your hand at generating some traffic for free, and see what it's worth. Not trying to spam but Refer Back has some great marketting tips for webmasters new to the casino game, and assigns you your own Affiliate Relationship Manager to help you out with whatever you need.

mostly you can thank Star-Net for the abysmal rep of casino sites. They achieved the deepest penetration into the webmaster world and never paid out one single dime of the millions they owe. Several other casino companies followed in their footsteps.

if any well known webmaster posts on this board that they've been paid on time and in full by a casino proggie I would probably send them some clicks

i've tried numerous casino sponsors over the course of the last six years and have never had any success

and don't ask me for any of the names...if i don't receive a single check from a sponsor, it's name is permanently deleted from my long term memory

an acquaintance of mine went to Antigua and then Costa Rica to write some pretty impressive software for online casino companies, but even he couldn't convince me to use them again

I hate that stereotype about "Porn Webmasters"

we just know how to make money period by converting traffic,

hell if there was a good affiliate programs for selling rugs and i had surfer traffic looking to buy rugs, would i be called a
"Rug Webmaster"?

Porn is a product, casino's are a sure loss when you step in there. Mathematically, casino's are always winners, while in porn everyone gets to be a winner: The affil program for making money, the webmaster for making referral money and the porn surfer for being able to shoot his load on the sluts that sold their ass - and even they got paid!

I gotta hand it to Casino's though: Porn only gives you the fantasy of being fucked, but at Casino's, no matter what's going to happen you're going to get fucked, hard!

My 2 fucking cents

So, you don't like casinos because they aren't fair to the surfers? Gamblers love gambling, I'm not forcing them to do it. At least they know what they're getting into, there's no cross billing in the casino game.

And think about the profits invloved when you refer a high roller, and there are online high rollers. Imagine getting 25%-35% of everything Larry Flint looses in vegas.

Since the beginning I have tried to monetize Casino Traffic.

The results have been dismal. Between getting ripped off and shaved we have decided to keep our traffic going to Adult Entertainment.

At least our industry pays

FM, it's an honor to have you post in my thread. That being said, it's clear you haven't given Refer Back a chance, and you've just had the unfortunate luck of getting involved with bad casinos, and that tarnished your opinion. Think about what I'd have to say about the porn industry if I only used Making Bank and dollars4all, and paid Hungryman to do design work for me.

We've worked with Iglobalmedia, Casino on the Net and numerous others.

We've had partnerships, by sign up and every other way you can do business.

If traffic is worth so much, why doesn't that industry just pay us 20 cents per unique hit, afterall they'll pay Overture $25 a click.

They can keep all the big players we send them lol

The problem with casinos and the porn webmasters is trust. Pure and simple. So many adult webmasters have taken it hard up the ass from the gaming operators.

When you send 25,000 uniques to a casino program and they tell you not one person placed a single wager, you kind of have to say to yourself, yeh right that's the ticket. And I love it when they say adult traffic doesn't convert well on casinos. Really? Well why the hell not?

I've been in this industry for a long time and off the top of my head just a couple casino names come to mind that some amount of webmasters have had success with. There are some that are decent and you can make ok money on, but they are certainly countable on a single hand, and for an industry as huge as gaming is that is a ashame, cause in the long run the casino guys are only fucking themselves in the ass when they fuck us.

I've got an innovative free sports wagering system in development that'll kick some serious butt for the porn guys.
