I love hamhocks cooked in a pot of beans, but fat disgusts me. I dig the meat out of it and give the dog the rest... he says it is a waste of time because there's little to no meat in them, but wow, what is is so tender.

I am from the south, so all of this is good food to me. lol

HE, however, eats a lot of shit that makes me sick to watch him eat.

He thinks nothing of making a plate of food and mixing half of it together and going to town on it, and this makes me sick to watch. I am the type I have to have no one thing touching another and if it does, I'll spend forever digging it apart and separating it back out. If I put a veggie on my plate that has a lot of water content, I have to drain it to death so it doesn't bleed onto my other food.

I'll eat just about anything and am not picky about that, but it is HOW I eat it that drives him crazy and makes me a picky eater. He thinks it all goes to the same place so what does it matter.......... eww...... just ewww. lol

We don't fight about it (other than her health concerns from eating straight pig fat). It grosses her out but I don't foresee it ruining our relationship. I dated this Korean chick in college and she used to make some bean curd soup with tofu. It was some fermented soybean curd and smelled like straight up dirty nuts! It would stink up the entire dorm. She always tried to convince me that it was tasty but I could never push pass the initial smell of it cooking.

Imagine cooking week old boxers inside a pot with dirty diapers and Indian food...that would have been a welcoming smell compared to that shit!!!

I tried them and surprisingly, they were pretty good. If you could push past the fast that you're munching on a set of balls. I had them deep fried and just said fuck it and dug in. They were a little mushy, almost like a paté or a deep fried seafood oyster minus the seafood flavor.
