I'm making a website called CharlieSheenHumor.com and plan on putting a facebook autolike script in it to make it go viral but I don't know what advertisement company I should use? If you guys could share your favorites/what you think would work best for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks gfy

You should use an advertising company that can help you get "unsued".I'm making a website called CharlieSheenHumor.com and plan on putting a facebook autolike script in it to make it go viral but I don't know what advertisement company I should use? Could they still sue me if I used SheenHumor.com instead?
EDIT: What's the liklihood of them finding out who I am? The domains were registered with a privacy guard and my hosting doesn't have any of my real information. The only way they could find me is if they went through the advertisement company, right?Last edited by TangibleAsset; 03-08-2011, 10:27 AM.Comment

I'm a senior in college taking 18 units and working a part time job. I want a website that's easy to manage to make me residual income so I can pay off my student loans faster/ have money for beer.

You registered the domain name with privacy guard but did you sign up for web hosting under an anonymous name? How about the advertising you tend to generate? Where are they going to send the check or deposit the money? In an offshore account?Could they still sue me if I used SheenHumor.com instead?

Just because you have domain privacy, which if you got it through Godaddy sucks balls, doesn't mean they can't find out who you are.
Don't waste your time, the site is going to get pulled and you're going to spend time on something that isn't profitable. Figure out something new or a new idea and make money off that. There's enough people trying to capitalize on Sheen.Skype: TriplexprintComment

Yeah the hosting is under an anonymous name and no I didn't use Godaddy for my privacy guard. The advertising part is why I made this post, I figured there has to be some shady ad companies out there. You registered the domain name with privacy guard but did you sign up for web hosting under an anonymous name? You're probably right about the site getting pulled, it's just a matter of whether or not I get sued that's the issue.
Thanks for the advice.

That's not entirely true. Charlie Sheen #winning isn't the only Charlie Sheen in the world. If you post images/information that is public domain, then there's not much he can do other than hit you with a couple C&Ds. You obviously can't be libelous in your writings, only offer facts that in themselves are funny. That's something that is being done by thousands of people as we speak.
Even with that said, ask yourself these questions; how much money will it make me? How much money/time do I have to spend to create and maintain it? Is the business model sustainable? If not, how long will this #winning wave last? 1 month? 2? Will your return be more than you invested?
Unless you can come up with some novel idea/website then it's probably already been done. 100 times. Hell, just do a Google search for Charlie Sheen shirts. 6,350,000 results...DOH! Move on man, it's not worth the trouble or the time.
