The Vegetarian Society, founded in 1847, says that the word ?vegetarian? is derived from the Latin word vegetus meaning lively or vigorous.[11] Despite this, the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) and other standard dictionaries state that the word was formed from the term "vegetable" and the suffix "-arian".[12] The OED writes that the word came into general use after the formation of the Vegetarian Society at Ramsgate in 1847, though it offers two examples of usage from 1839 and 1842.[13]

Incisors, canines, molars...............................

Canines and incisors for tearing and cutting, molars for grinding.....................

You're not a fuckin' cow; you don't have two stomachs, you are designed to be omnivorous; that means you eat plants, vegetation and MEAT!

You can play all the games you want with it but if you become a vegan you will be denying your body many of the things that it needs to be an effectively functioning organism.

Now stop trying to be a touchy-feely-looney-leftie-veggie and go out and get some food like THIS:

Holy shit I agree with Marion.

chaze 03-08-2011 06:04 PM

Nah it really doesn't matter. You just need carbs, protein, vitamin your body does not care where they come from.

That should be "were", not "where".

Your post shows you know fuck all about evolution, physiology, biology, nutrition or even, yes; yourself.

(1) Go learn the English language if you are going to use it to post.

(2) Go learn a bit about Homo Sapiens.

Free your mind and the rest will follow.

"The following quotes are completely unverified, information about the sources of any of them would also be useful:

"Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. "

"Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from that of their social environment. "

"It is easier to denature plutonium than to denature the evil spirit of man."

"The important thing is not to stop questioning."

"The latest indications we have suggest that Einstein was vegetarian only for the last year or so of his life, though he appears to have supported the idea for many years before practising it himself.

"So I am living without fats, without meat, without fish, but am feeling quite well this way. It always seems to me that man was not born to be a carnivore."

This was from a letter written to Hans Muehsam, and dated March 30, 1954, which was about 1 year before Einstein died. This indicates he adopted a vegetarian diet at the end of his life. Previously, on August3, 1953 Einstein had written the following in a letter to Max Kariel, suggesting that he was still eating meat at that time:

"I have always eaten animal flesh with a somewhat guilty conscience."

The above quotes are from: The Expanded Quotable Einstein, collected and edited by Alice Calaprice. The book flap of Ms. Calaprice's book says: "Alice Calaprice is a Senior Editor at Princeton University Press, where she has specialized in the sciences and worked with the Einstein Papers for over twenty years."

Nice pic, never saw that lol. I agree that we are not meant to eat meat at first, we are walking amoeba and had no teeth at one point. We adapt to almost anything and can eat meat just as easily. It's a choice or it passed on from our ancestors, we can keep the chain going or break it.

I prefer to break it, animals are special living things that have feeling and care just like us, actually more then us in many circumstances.

Fish do not have these feelings or emotions so eat them all day and they taste better are more healthy and and there is plenty. Slaved animals go crazy, especially in small cages for life. We slave and make these animals go crazy for their life on earth so we can have heart stopping bacon, and chicken nuggets. Bottom line... people are fucked up and don't care about shit other then themselves. It's called greed, selfishness, and super ego complexes.

"It's a takes a very strong soul to have compassion for something weaker then it."

It's a pipe dream, but In my lifetime I would like to see animals not eaten anymore. People should eat fish and the rest of our food should be grown for us to eat, preferably somewhat locally and without a bunch of chemicals..

dyna mo 03-09-2011 12:27 PM

yeah, animals don't eat animals in nature. that's a purely human action. horrid!
