    Verotel Checks Bouncing?

    I just noticed a small Verotel check just bounced. I called them, but no one will be in the office until Monday morning, their time.

    It was a recent check, dated sometime in late February (I deposited it on Feb 25th).

    Again, it was just a very small check, but for whatever reason, it bounced and is coming back to me with a bank fee.

    Anyone else?

    Anyone from Verotel here, that can provide any information before Monday morning?

    Nope. Been with them the better part of a decade. Receive my ACH's like clock work.

      Yep I had a check returned as well, seemed to happen as they switched away from Pay Master and started cutting their own checks. I emailed Verotel and got this reply....

      Due to an error with our bank, your payment bounced. Our bank provided us with an incorrect routing number, which caused your check to bounce. We have reissued your payment and your money will be send to you in a payment that will be created this weekend. This payment will appear in the control center beginning next week.

      It might be that your bank fined you for cashing this check. If so, please send us a copy of your statement showing the fine, so we can reimburse you for this. You can either email us the statement at [email protected] or fax it to our office at +31 20 320 8832.

      The problems with our bank have been solved already so you should be able to cash your current check.

      We apologize for the inconveniences this might have caused.

      If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

        Well I didn't get my ACH from them today as I do 80% of the time. But it's not officially late until Tuesday.

                  They have always paid on time so I wasn't freaking out when the check was returned, and figured it had something to do with switching away from Pay Master. But it is always somewhat troublesome when a processors payment bounces.

                  Hopefully this is a one time issue, Verotel has been great up until now.

                      I agree, they have been fairly decent. I always get a response from them within 24 hours. However I find the lack of communication in this instance (or did I miss an announcement?) slightly troubling. Still I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
