Yeah. I can pay my bills without a hassle... usually. Until I don't get paid for something really major (for me, I mean) for three months. Then the system kinda falls apart. So far, the bills are getting paid, but the credit card is bulging to make it happen, and we're eating a bit more rice, so to speak.

So don't call me a liar. I'm not always Boy Genius, so sometimes maybe something I say won't be 100% consistent, but I don't stand up a lie to people. I just hope that isn't what you were implying. I'm not a wealthy guy, and I'm not a pretty boy. My principles are sometimes all I have. ;)

Anyhow, I just had an interesting conversation. Not sure if it was actually progress, but I learned some things. I am not cut out for the business.

I don't want anyone to assume anything here. I don't want to spill the beans, I am not at that pointyet. So I won't confirm or deny any one program. I will only say that I have done a few transactions on this scale in the last 6-months, so don't assume this is what you think it is. After all, that would besmirch anyone I had worked with, and obviously they aren't all crooked. ;)

I never forget who have been kind to me and I will be eternally greatful...but I didn't NEED to go to internext. I WANTED to go. I still had to pay for my food, hotel, liquor, and tips for the strippers.....And I still had to pay all of my bills when I got home.

I would have still made it to Miami in August. I just couldn't swing that plane ticket right after Christmas..the timing for that show is all wrong..

The only reason I said anything here is because you were dogging this guy because of money, when he's never outright asked someone here for money (even living expenses), yet you were asking for money for a trip. I am not paying Jim for hosting, as part of this deal. Before the deal, I was paying about $100 a month for hosting. I am in the process (if Jim gives me my password back) of transferring to a new host which is a better deal.

so 100/month. i don't want to see your business die at that hands of someone who decides to kill your hosting (if that's what it comes to).

if you are truly fucked, i will paypal you 200 bucks US (two months hosting) today, or anytime. if you don't have paypal, then either get it, or forget it.

I put my new hosting on my credit card, so it is paid for. I have no interest in hand-outs or loans, as grateful as I am for the offer. All I am interested in is getting back on my feet, hopefulyl by being paid what I was promised. I guess once Jim wakes up I will find out if that is going to happen.

btw, my offer had nothing to do with 'handouts'. i don't like the idea of anyone being at the mercy of hosting (believe me, i've had several real life nightmares with regards to hosting) - ie: i've been there.

He has turned my hosting back on, after about a half hour or whatever last night. He has changed my password, though. Hopefully, when he makes his offer this morning, he will give me my password back so I can initiate a server to server transfer. If not, I can always restore from my hard drive, it will just take forever.

He claims I will be getting an email some time soon with an offer on what he will pay me. He owes me $5000 according to the contract, and I was happy with $3000. So it will be interesting to see what this offer is. Until I get it, though, no need to try to be tougher than I really am.

why not? what makes you different from everybody else on the Internet? Internet is derived from the Latin word 'Internate' meaning 'place where one can be tougher than he really is'.
