You answer my question about your lies about newsgroups and I'll answer that one.

Shame you won't be delivering a scene worth 3k though

I thought that was the whole point of every post you've made here since 1992. Spend more on content, get a better product, make more money cos the customers will like it better than a cheap scene.

In fact, you meant that people should spend more, so YOU can make more, and then laugh in their faces about conning them!

Brilliant business model.

I take my hat off to you.

You are the master!

I said I knew what the conversion rates were. I don't believe I ever said I never did any submitting to newsgroups. Now you can now spend hours looking for me saying I never.

The reason you'll find little of Paul Markham Teens or Astral Blue, is something you will have to work out for yourself. Go on figure out why I never did it for Paul Markham Teens or recently.

It's worth is based on what we sold scenes for.

Asking shooters to shoot 5 scenes for $1500, like ATK, and many more did is crazy. It's like paying a marketing man $50 a day. You get what you pay for.

Or the custom shooters are to blame and not the sponsors. They should of been working for a better market. Well sponsors are to blame for not also selling offline. As far as pics were concerned it was an easy sale.

Get the first set accepted and used, then the publisher would look at more, get your name in the mag and others would always see you. If they were on the other side of the Atlantic or World, it didn't matter. Once in, sales were easy. Editors took shooters out for lunch very often. They were always very pleased to see us. Easier than selling custom work and in it's day, not so long ago, it was more solid.

Would we of made more if they paid the same price as magazines? Would we of been better off going the exclusive route for $3,000 a scene? You're not thinking again.

Quote:

I take my hat off to you.

You are the master!
And so you should.

You keep talking, like so many trolls, as if I was the ONLY magazine shooter in the world. Flattering but no true. You miss the part that I keep saying over and over again. No decent offline shooter turned his hand to shooting custom in a big way. Today a few have, but only because offline porn has shrunk. Even so it's a few.

Since 1998 prices paid for content weren't good enough to tempt good shooter to this part of porn. Forget about the "they didn't understand" there was nothing to understand. Forget the "the surfer wanted amateur" it was BS. Otherwise the surfer really did change as online started to earn money. No it was an excuse. I could shoot amateur if paid the right money.

How that effected sales is a guess. It definitely didn't increase them. Sites were able to spring up for a lot less money than was really needed, members got disappointed or bored and moved on and sometime the content being used by affiliates simply wasn't good enough. Some sites were able to advertise on The Hun, because they knew traffic would convert. Others would lose money on a free gallery because traffic didn't convert.

So now it's your turn.

A. Would you rather be good at your job and earn $30,000 a year?

B. Or crap and earn $300,000 a year?

Answer the question and why you chose that option.

Or will you find an excuse and show yourself as a liar?

I don't need to. I already posted MANY instances of you saying you got amazing ratios. It's so nice to prove you lie you see. I relish in it

Yes. You lied.

As I pointed out earlier, there's almost no PMT content on any piracy sites, usenet, torrents, file lockers or anything at all.

Seriously, how does it make you feel that you produce porn that isn't worth stealing?

You never did it at all Paul. You lied.

But it's funny you say you didn't do it "recently" and at the start of your long winded rant no one read you denied doing it at all.

You're great. You trip yourself up over your own lies in one single post. :D :D :D :D

Bless you for trying though.

I am feeling bad now. You are coming off worse than Gary. I think I should stop while you have a shred of dignity left.

I guess if you're a loser, it must really get up your nose that someone like me, who you think has little knowledge has made so much money. And even after 3 years of effectively closing the business, still able to maintain all his sites.

This one must really annoy him. Making money from content shot over 20 years ago. And he's lucky to make money from anything he did last week.

Yes I understand his frustrations.

Can you show us some content you produced besides pornbeer content. As for licensing

Which of those pics did you post to newsgroups to get an unbelievable ratio?

And just how do you get that 'dead behind the eyes' look you specialise in?

You're too stupid to even spot my shoots from other people shoots. That was shot by one of the guys we broker for. You have to be truly the dumbest guy working on the adult Internet. Whoops sorry wasn't that Geezer's page? You 2 competing for the same position.

This is my work, through the years. Notice the theme? Thanks for the opportunity.

And now magazine work.

As it was an advert FOR YOUR CONTENT:

I assumed you would use YOUR CONTENT.

Fuck, your stuff is so bad you have to use other people's pictures to con people into buying your work?

She was one of those we were making $3,000 a set from. So obviously others disagreed with you. Those others were editors who had real jobs in real offices, not losers posting dribble from their living room.

That page you linked to with that awful shot, was something someone else put up thinking we shot it.

Your trolling is not very good recently. Best you go back to just repeating the word liar, that's more your level.

So why not use one of your own pictures of her?

Why try and pass off someone else's work as your own?

I mean, you brag about conning customers, but I would have thought you would have at least used your own pictures and not another photographer's work.

I admire your honesty about not being good enough yourself though.

PS I don't just *call* you a liar. I prove you are a liar and then laugh at you for lying. I mean, that one where you contradicted yourself in the space of one post was a real doozy! Thanks for setting them up for me man.

Paul. You are finding it hard to keep up recently. Are you feeling tired?

Let's recap. You spammed a lovely little advert you made in paint shop pro using 14 different fonts and all sorts of great drop shadow effects. It had a girl in it. I said she had your trademark 'dead behind the eyes' look.

Still with me?

Cool

You then laughed saying you didn't shoot that picture and I was an idiot for not being able to tell that.

I then mocked you for using someone else's pictures to see your content.

Then you went a little odd making really bad gifs.

Still, it's always fun playing with you.

How is the ebook going that you lied about having a publisher for?

No you put up a link to a stupid page which was pretending to be my site. The idiot who did it wasn't bright enough to see he was using another persons content. Neither were you.

You then put up our advert, which was made by a designer. Featuring a girl we made a lot of money from. More than you make make in 6 months. it didn't take us 6 days to shoot her.

Quote:

No you mocked yourself for not being able to distinguish two completely different shooter's styles. You make it worse by dragging it up. A person with sense would drop it and go back to trolling liar.

Quote:

Tell me something I don't know. I'm not a designer, like you're not a marketing man. Difference is, I know what I'm not. you don't.

It's on the back burner, the deal he proposed wasn't good enough once I did some research. You know it's mostly written and all it needs is finishing and editing. I sent it to a poster on B&B and he sung it's praises.

Anyone here who wants to read it is welcome to contact me. I'll make a thread about it.

I'm now going to start editing videos I shot 20 years ago to add to Astral Blue now you can call that a lie and end up with egg on your face again. You should save all the egg and make an omelet.

Now Damian is talking about tickling a puppies penis. He's getting weirder.

So you do actually use someone else's photo on an advert to sell your photos.

Is this common? Do many photographers user other people's work to try and sell their own?

And if you didn't do that advert yourself, you need a new designer man. Looks like you were playing How Many Fonts Can I Use In One Ad. Which whilst is a fun game, doesn't lead to a professional looking end product. Still, if you cannot tell the girl looks dead behind the eyes and has the worst fake smile in Christendom, I guess your sense of aesthetic doesn't stretch to font choice either.

Ho hum.

This thread has a long way to go yet. I predict the trolls will bounce in with a lot of slagging. The shooters will see what I was trying to do and understand what a 3 year lay off does and Damian will keep the stupidity to his usual high level.

Maybe next time I want some large ads, I should contact you.

I only counted 6 Fonts, including our logo.

This is his design skills.

www.pornbeer.com Scroll down to see the designer on his sofa, or is it a friends GF sofa. Nothing to inspire confidence.

www.damianjennings.com All of a sudden I see new entries, like they were entered just after he did the event. That's what Damian calls marketing and the rest of us call lying. Hit him up and suggest a decent design, he needs help.

www.damianjennings.com All of a sudden I see new entries, like they were entered just after he did the event. That's what Damian calls marketing and the rest of us call lying. Hit him up and suggest a decent design, he needs help.

Ho hum.
Cant wait to see the video!!
I havent had many dealings with damian, but im sure if he thought the video blew his mind he would say, if it didnt he will say so. .. . whether or not he would say it was crap when he thought it wasn't is another story all together and will probably keep this thread going another 30 pages!

You sound like you are making a whole lot of excuses in advance of your Brazzers test scene being published.

No just a few. It was a Mofos scene.

Not a test scene either. It was to show what we did to earn $3,000 from shooting a set. The set is of that standard and if the girl was new and the business was a few years ago it would show clearly why I wasn't shooting custom solo girl for what online offered.

I know it's not yesterday, however the challenge was, what it would take to get me back to shooting. And I replied the money we used to earn.

Today if I were fit and able to shoot, I'm not sure what I would do. Probably be a wedding photographer/videographer. I'm not fit enough, so no worries.

The scene was a one off. I tried to show how a solo girl scene, IMO, should be constructed. Not the way I see too many are done today. You can see it and ask yourself if you could do 5 of those a day for $1500 to $2500. 3 for $2,000 might be doable with the right shooters and training. These are some of the things I try to cover in my E Book.

There are many other ways to shoot the scene with 2 others on the same day, same girl and to keep it on the same type of theme. There are many ways to construct the day to get out 3 scenes that actually have character, style and a theme. Maybe I need to include this in my E Book. Maybe it's something people would like.

Whether I got the technical side right I'm not sure about. 3 years out of work had an effect on me. Which is the main reason I was doing it. The only way I could view it afterwards was on the camera viewer, couldn't for some reason capture it on my computer. It looked fine. So long as the editor has tied it together properly it will be fine.

Could you do better for $3,000? I'm sure you could do the video better. As no one will pay you $3,000 it's academic. Most are lucky and very happy to get $3,000 for a BG scene today. And that's the problem today. Some think I blame shooters, I don't. I blame sponsors who think shooters should work for less than their worth, for sponsors who don't value the product properly.

Let's wait and see.

Craig, Damian will flame it unless I produced the most sensational piece of porn ever. He doesn't get the point. We didn't have to shoot sensational porn to earn $3,000. If he got that it he couldn't troll. He says I claim to be a great shooter, I never thought that for a minute. The list of porn shooters I admire is long. I don't think I'm great, just good at what we did and made money from it.

The scene is no more and no less than what we would shoot to earn $3,000. OK the video is a bit better. We really weren't that concerned in shooting video. Selling a hardcore BG or GG scene 50 times at $50 = $2,500 and wasn't hard. Solo girl videos were around 25 sales at $35 $875. Unless the girl was ugly. Could we earn more shooting a more involved video? Who knows.

Still there was a set on top and they did much nicer thank you.

Ah, so you are not saying it's good, or worth 3k or in anyway an example of what you think is "good" porn. It was just a scene you got someone to pay 3k for.

So it's a lesson in overcharging?

It's good we know this now, so everyone is clear you are not holding this up as an example of what you think porn should look like. Just overpriced porn.

Cool.

The whole point was to show us how it should be done.

How better quality would lead to better retentions etc..

With $3000 you could have directed the scene, had a camera and sound person, make up artist, you could have taken it easy and just directed the scene.

Look at the monitor and listen on your head phones, making sure all is OK.

and still had $1500 for yourself, for 1 days work.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. But sadly it seems this was just an exercise in Paul getting 3k.

I think I am right in thinking he is now saying this is just a totally average porn scene that he managed to get 3k from hahahah isn't he clever. As opposed to what everyone thought, which would be a masterclass in how to spend 3k making the best fucking solo girl scene ever scene. All his 34 years of experience, all his charm, all rolled into one "There I Told You So" package so he could rub it in the faces of people that say he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Hey ho.

Still, he got 3k for shooting a scene. And if that was all this was about, then hey, credit where it is due. I just think everyone thought we'd be getting what Paul perceived was the high standard he claims is missing today.

No it wasn't. Can you show me where I said that please. I have said a lot of online porn can be done better, don't remember promising to make this scene better. In fact I might of said the opposite. Even Fabian understood I was out of practice and probably not fully fit.

The whole point was to pick up the money, see if I was as fit as I thought and ................

Well that was it really. Anyone who wants to see what we did to sell to magazines is welcome to look at sets on the content stores.

If many online custom shooters could of done better, they will be kicking themselves for not coming into the markets I sold to. Even if they still did online custom it was another string to their bow. If they couldn't shoot a set as well as we did, then ..........

I feel better porn quality content would lead to better retentions. Do you disagree?

You don't understand the style of porn I shot or shoot. Having a crew there would be the killing of my style. Your stuck in a rut. Think inside your box.

For the stills Eva and Reggie were there, I knew what I wanted Sandra to do on the stills she was well capable of with a couple of people watching.

What I wanted from her on video, was best shot with me and her alone. Especially without my wife and a stranger there. If you understand different porn styles and genre, you'll know what I'm talking about.

If I had a budget of $300, $3,000 or $30,000. It would still be just me and Sandra on our own for the video. It's about creating something that's a more intimate version of porn that connects with the viewer. Not always achieved with a full production crew working around the model.

Ho hum, more drivel from Damina.

Will answer him after lunch. Bought some grilled chicken while Rajah and I were walking through the village. Got some cabbage soup from Eva's Mum, sounds dull but it's actually very nice, grilled chicken, grilled egg plant and mashed potatoes. Might do a little onion sauce to go with the chicken.

Ho hum, retired life is so exciting. LOL

Well the video was more involved.

Besides you who thought I would do anything I have not done for years? In fact who thought a guy who had been out of the business for 3 years, got over a major illness was going to bounce back to his old standards? Only stupid people would think that. You don't really think that do you?

It's not about "I told you so." If people in the online porn business didn't know what offline could pay for content they're missing out. Selling to editors was the easiest thing ever.

Well getting $3k was nice, bought Rajah and will pay for a lot of his food in months or years to come. Reggie was joking I should of called Rajah, Fabian. But chose Rajah, after my dog I had in the 50s-60s.

If anyone thought I was going to bounce back and create something like I used to, they were sadly mistaken. I think it was only the trolls.

Physically I discovered I'm nowhere near capable of coming back to shooting. Just can't keep going long enough. Ask Madalton how often I need to drink water and the effects. Running to the loo in the middle of a shoot isn't fun. My saliva glands are gone. That means a dry mouth all the time.

It took me many hours to shoot the scene. It would of taken 2 max before my lay off. A couple of days afterwards I was still exhausted.

It makes no difference, the knowledge and experience I built up over the years is still as good as it was. I constructed a scene that's far better than what's on Mofos. I know how to improve Mofos. Not an idle boast or a hard task either. The scene might give people a clue.

Can I go out and shoot the content? No way.

Can I direct from my office, teach shooters, build scenes and create a site with identity? Yes, in an instant.

Will it improve retention? Yes.

I now know even with the best equipment, I'm not physically capable of shooting. That was what the shoot was partly about for me.

No idea, going to wait for it to be posted here. The girl's name was Sandra.

xholly average for who and what?

Average for DVT, Dean or me?

You didn't read my reply to Damian and Cherry on this point. So here it is again, it was average for me. It was our average to earn $3,000. Did you understand that?

So going to eat breakfast and then will be back, maybe after a day of replies, let's see what they are. Anyone expecting anything more than what we shot is not very bright, go think about it. It's not hard.

Average for who?

DVT, Brian, Dave, Aaron, Jim or me?

It was average for me. It was average for what we made $3,000 a scene from.

Anyone who thinks a 60 year old guy, who has been out of the business 3 years and didn't shoot a lot in his last years, and was still recovering from a life threatening bout of cancer would bounce back and shoot something outstanding is stupid.

Yes, the word is right. Because it was clear from the start I would shoot what I always shot.

I shot a more involved video than our norm. To show just a little of what can be done. with the right shooter and a better budget. I didn't present Sandra as another anonymous model. Let her show who she is, that she loves what she does and that she had a lot of fun doing the scene. Which is something I see very rarely.

Most sites, including present the girl with as much personality as a plastic blow up doll. They seem to be more interested in getting a new pussy and pair of tits in front of a camera, bashing out the work than presenting her in a way that will keep fans intrigued in her. And a member of the site.

The video will show what I tried to do. forgive any technical mistakes, probably due to my reasons given, and look at what I did in terms of porn and presenting a scene that gets members glued to the scene.

I'm sure a better job would of been done by me 4 years ago. I'm sure some shooters are able to do a better job than me. They're not the problem. The problem is site owners asking them to shoot too much, for too little and don't care about the quality, only the price.

Yes Lazycash, the idiot who put up that site doesn't even know the difference between my style and others. Shame really that someone in the porn business is so clueless.

In your own words your kinda talking it down a bit, saying it is just an average scene. Well thats ok but I must admit after page 29 and reading your posts pointing out other shooters flaws I have been expecting something showing some brilliance. Maybe it will be still.

Dont really care what shooters used to make or even what they do make now, I just want to see a great example of how porn should be produced in order to convert and retain. Because what porn shooters used to earn 20 years ago has as much relevance as how much a blacksmith used to make 300 years ago..none.

Just hoping for a good scene thats all.

What shooters do today is often governed by sponsors, a few site owners do a great job like Alsscan and others. So blaming shooters isn't fair.

When you're given a budget of $1500 and told to shoot 5 solo girl scenes in a day, the results will be poor. When you consider that a good shooter can earn more than $1,500 on one set non exclusive, it has to be realised good shooters might be elsewhere. Not the fault of the shooters who are working for this price, it's the best they could get. And often the best sponsors would pay.

Some did pay more, but not enough. This thread started off pointing why it's hard to shoot porn today, I should of said good porn for online sites. My mistake.

Some of the mistakes I see are glaring. People with wide angle shooting the girl standing up or sitting up, so it becomes a shot of the room or sofa or bed. Just downright bad framing over and over again. Stills with the same pose over and over and over again. Brazzers was terrible for this, the shooters were just going for the right numbers and to hell with getting it right.

The biggest mistake is the presentation of the girls, the scene and the the faking. And this is what you need to convert and retain better. The scenes are often just a collection of the same scenes, different girl doing the same thing on a different sofa. No personality, character or identity and no reason to join this site or that site and no reason to stay in the site.

What I shot for Mofos was just one way to construct the first scene, the next scene would of been a little different and would of tied into the first scene, the last would of wrapped up the day. They would of been like a mini series, Sandra would of been presented exactly as who she is, a very sexual attractive girl who loves what she does.

If she had done a good days work we would of gone on from there.

Too many sites present girls as nothing more than a piece of meat. Some shoot so much gynecological shots it could be a film for doctors. Pussies all look the same, models if allowed will all trot out the same performance. After a while the girl gets repetitive, the girls get boring and the site loses interest. And you lose recurring members.

When trying to sell a product, you need to grab a person's interest in the model first, her looks, personality, character or identity and a good reason to join the site. not just present a clip of another girl banging her pussy. It's not a traffic game, adding more traffic is wasting the traffic you have. It's about separating the girl and site from the 1,000s of others girls and sites available.

And yes what was being shot 20 years ago is relevant to what's being shot today. Because the age group that's the best target for a porn membership is the over 40s.

If you think me saying it was average for me was talking it down a bit. Then why? Because that brings me back to the fundamental point. If we could earn $3,000 shooting that why were so many online companies paying $300?

Would you send traffic to a site that paid 5% and didn't convert any better than those paying 50%? Same goes for shooters. For some reason online never got that.
