    So I got a hankering for fried chicken this weekend, 3 chicken shacks later.....:-(

    my 1st stop was church's, they fucked up the order. gave me thighs or backs or something when i requested and paid extra for breastes. biscuits were average, good taste but dry.

    2nd stop was a local *cajun* style, it was decent but they only had rolls, no biscuits, it's biscuits or waffles with fried chicken- period.

    3rd stop was popeyes- $25 for 2 people! 1 piece of chicken had such an odd taste to it, i spit out the 1st bite and threw the piece away.


    i guess i should of gone to kfc?

                                      I make my own fried chicken at home now and like it better than KFC because
                                      they do not make it the same way they did years ago.

                                      No way to make the "original-original" KFC without lard. No way!

                                      I use vegetable oil at home but in a skillet which gives better results than a
                                      deep fryer. Those places use deep fryers.

                                      You're correct, you didn't get the quality that you are used to.

                                      There's a KFC in the same parking lot of my grocery store.
                                      I walk right by that motherfucker and buy raw chicken every time.

                                                      The second thing is that the old fried chicken places didn't use "nuclear birds".

                                                      A KFC drum stick is twice as big now as it used to be.
                                                      These over hormone supplemented birds with crappy feed don't produce the
                                                      same taste of flesh.

                                                      The skin is thicker and the dark meat ain't even "dark" because the chickens don't even
                                                      walk anymore; and is way too fatty.
                                                      They switch out the lard to reduce saturated fat then add it all back in with
                                                      a fatty bird.

I remember it being fucking delicious, but that was a long time ago, I don;t know if it's still as good now. Even though I don't get the chicken, every time I have a layover in Charlotte I always get my Bojangles sweet tea.

                                                                                                                                          the only kfc near me is fucked up , everytime i go in and ask for breasts they act surprised as if they are a taco bell and it is a strange request. They usually yell back to the cooks " can we do 4 breasts, no , ok how many can we do ?" , sorry we can only do 1 breast. I have never gotten more than 1 breast ever, on several occasions they have seriously said " sorry we are out of chicken, but we have chicken bowls and chicken sandwiches thats it. They should have their franchise license pulled, tried to complain but these days nobody knows anything, customer service is usually in india or some shit.
