Cute cute cute... I've had mini pinschers for years, and when my 12 year old is gone.. NO MORE MINI PINS lol.
They are so smart and cute, but man do they take a lot of time to deal with. I think mine is inbred though, he's fucking psycho and thankfully his old age has finally chilled him out. The dog is so smart, he and I are like peas and carrots interacting. I don't even have to yell at him anymore, hand signals and mostly gestures work. lol
They are best friends now. Just took a couple days to get use to him and his puppy smell.
Yeah they get along real well with cats, until they get big enough to harrass the cat... if the cat doesn't put up with it they get real pissy. One of mine took off and never came back cause the dog would maul him to play everytime he came in. Poor cat.

Yea this is the breed my son really wanted so he could put sports jerseys on it when he hangs out with it haha. They're pretty high energy but it gives him something to chase around the yard and play with. We got him from a breeder in Kentucky so he has all his papers. So far he has been super easy to train and does really well at night. I just have to let him out a couple times to make sure he does not have any accidents.
He's doing really well with the cats but does like to play a little rough. The cats can hold their own though so I'm not too worried about it. From the research I did you just have to really stay on them as puppies to make sure they are well behaved and obedient when they get older. We will probably get him into classes as well just to help him with being a good dog.

Amen to that. My sister in law has one. Never met a dog that barks at nothing as much as this one. Greedy, sneaky, and stubborn to boot. He is 7 now, maybe in 4 years, he will be mellowed out.. or dead.

Give him a bit of time. The first real dog (as in me being responsible for its care) I had was a mini Pinscher. He lived to be over 20 years old and - in his prime - he could bend the metal on those corkscrew dog chain anchors and rip them out of the ground.
On the rare occasions that I had to chain him up, I had to use a 1" steel chain that my uncle used to remove engine blocks. He broke every single commercial dog chain we bought.
His name was Basil, but he was never as cute as Zeus. He WAS pretty viscious, though.
As you know it's really all about how you raise them. Zeus will have all sorts of love, rewards for good behavior and discipline to assure he will be a great dog when he?s older.

Cute one but I am always afraid of hurting little dogs like that. Kicking them when getting up or something.
He likes to get under the recliners on the couch if we have them up, so that?s where we have to be really careful and always keep our eyes on him. He also likes to get under my feet when I walk him so I just have to pay attention not to step on the little guy.
