tlc wasn't around when i and i assume, your kid was growing up. i watched seasme street, mr dress up, not so much mr rogers but still, its children's programming. its for kids. they are going to address basic issues like that. i don't see it as hurting at all. and yes, it should be taught by the parents but a lot of parents are bad parents and don't have self esteem themselves, nor know how to 'teach' it. just because it wasn't for you doesn't mean its not for everyone.
