Shortly after I was born my grandmother collected Matchbox cars for me. Gas was twenty cents a gallon and each time you filled up you got a free Matchbox car. She collected the entire year of 1968, and others. She also bought one of those huge store displays, the round ones. These were given to me when I was 8.
And boy did I have fun with them when I was a kid.

Im sure my parents sold all that stuff years ago. When me and my siblings went away to college our rooms were made into some random stuff. My mom took up painting when i left home for about 2 weeks... so my old room is her studio 10 years later.

I had a decent toy collection when i was younger, gi joe, star wars, transformers, he-man, sectors...
When i was in my early twenties I ran into a guy selling old school toys at a flea market. Went crazy buying stuff up there for a while. My modest starwars collection turned into a HUGE one.. bought stupid stuff like the gi joe aircraft carrier (damn thing was 6 feet long!) I have the kiss action figures...
yeah it was a bit of a dorky phase, but i still love that shit... i have more adult hobbies now at least hehe

nope other than I still do have the original Nintendo 8bit console, and a Sega Genesis and game copier thing. i wasn't really a kid when those came out, not sure what year Nintendo came out but i think i was 18-20 range.
BUT i know where I hid some original Hot Wheels cars when I was very young, we put an addition on our house I put some Hot Wheels car inside the framing thinking how cool it would be to one day come back when I was old and there they would be - a time capsule.
So unless whoever has owned that house since has ripped the room apart there are some 1970 Hot Wheels still there.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!Comment
