Why the hell is this world become about proving to people you are somehow a good or better person than others?

Always some fucking idiot walking for this disease walking for that disease. FUCK YOU. You didnt do shit! You just fucking walked! Save your donations I will tell you to fuck off.

Some douche bag from Calgary is climbing mount everest for charity. Do you know how many Sherpas have climbed Everest throughout history? I dont. But i can bet they werent asking for handouts for some stupid ass charity to pat themselves on the back. Climb the mountain for adventure and fuck off.

Why do people have to always do something with a "cause" these days? Whatever happened to living your life, taking care of your family and minding your own fucking business.

I am for one tired of these do gooder idiots. If you really gave a fuck about Cancer you would become a doctor and study the disease.

He kept on trying new techniques e.g. trying to be smart, a top athlete, the life and soul of the party, but the women were never interested. One day he volunteered to help Special Children (unpaid), he only does this so as he can tell the women in the pub, now has has a different woman every week (which is very good for him). He also does many charity races these days.

I guess everyone has their own reason.

You really don't see the benefit of things like that? Everytime I read one of your posts it seems like some 16 year old trying to be cool for the "adults". I can only imagine how big of a tool you really are.

Walks/events/runs bring a ton of attention to the charities and diseases involved. Bringing it to the attention of thousands is way more effective than one person donating is yearly $100.

people walk or run or climb because it gets attention for X or Y . If you asked people to donate money just because, they wouldn't, but because there is a race or a marathon or something, they get interested and open their wallets. It's a fail proof system.

Personally I think it's great. Helping others that really need it makes you a better person and gives you the satisfaction of having done something great.

if you get colon cancer you better hope you can pay for your own treatment or know your way around the medical books to find yourself a cure

if it wasnt for fundraisers and things like this alot of money that goes to people's medical care and research for medications wouldnt ever get donated.

just a way of bringing attention to a cause and trying to help.

if your kid got a rare form of cancer ..would you rather take the whole load on your back and what you can pay for upfront?... or would you like to have the ability to help them even more by using the facilities or techinological advances these fundraisers pay for?..

its easy to point the finger until its your ass fire shitting your guts out every 30 minutes

Please point out where I said donations are a bad thing? I clearly said it is people who do it for personal gain. I am all for helping people but lets get real. You going on some run is not doing shit for the cause. People want to drop there money in the "jar" and look the other way.

I dont have to use someone else's hardships to make myself sound or feel like a good person. These do gooder types FEED off other peoples hardships. They crave it. It makes me completely sick.
