    The end of an MMA era tonight.

    Well, at least maybe.

    If you are planning on watching Saturday night's Strikeforce event and don't want a spoiler leave now














    It was a pretty wild night seeing Arlofsky get owned like that. After four straight loses by knockout I think he is probably done.

    But the shocker was seeing Fedor get destroyed. I was surprised he survived that round at all, but it was no surprise the fight was stopped once you saw his eye was swelled shut. Then in the interview he drops the bomb that he is probably going to retire.

    I can't say I blame him, he has been the best fighter in the world for a long time, eventually someone comes along and knocks you off your throne.

          It is a shame to see that the Last Emperor's reign is over. He was my all time favorite fighter.

                  Antonio Silva has a genetic disorder called gigantism which gives him a skull carved out of rock and even makes his skin thicker. Another MMA fighter from South Korea also has it (he is 7ft 2 and still growing).

                  Not sure they should be allowed to compete.

                      Not to be mean and make fun of a guy with a disorder, but as I watched the fight it looked a lot like Fedor Vs the Troll from Lord of the Rings

                                      He was actually pretty good. Watch his old fights if you don't believe that. In the sport even a difference of a fraction of a millisecond can mean everything. When a man gets older his reaction times and stamina tend to decrease.

                                      Silva won that fight fair and square. I still wouldn't have wrote off Fedor (he was even going for a foot hold at the end of the round) if the doctors let it go on but it was clear that he couldn't see out of that eye and that has always meant a stopped fight in the past.
