Pinup Dollars Not Paying ?

Saw a post on another forum about them dropping an affiliate's payout to 1%

I thought they sounded familiar. The owner contacted me on FreeOnes a month ago and he's active on FreeOne (even having posted today):

Apparently they are having issues with their email and that could explain why they are not replying.

Last night, i tried emailing from my gmail acct and instantly received an email failed reply,then i tried a few different email add and also failed,but oddly enough Brandie replied to the last one within minutes.

I know when they made me a fansign and I signed up for the program, it took weeks to get approved. So maybe just slow.

does their ICQ contact work?

Never had a problem with their payments and always got them on time. Even the last check.

It's Doug here, the owner of PinupDollars. First off, let me say that we ALWAYS pay our bills and always pay our affiliates on time. We've been in business for almost 14 years now and I run a REALLY tight ship and if there's any issues with anything, you can always email me personally at [email protected] and I will address it with you directly.

That said, there was an issue with both Hotmail and Gmail blocking our email responses to anyone who had Hotmail or Gmail accounts. This went on for several months before we discovered it and the good news is that it has now been resolved by our hosting company and their network guys, which is why (if any of you had an account through them) you likely didn't get any of our responses, as Brandie is always on top of things and gets back to all our affiliates right away. Furthermore, we have our general [email protected] email that works as well.

Frank, I don't know specifically what your situation was but hopefully it was resolved with this email correction. If it was not, let me know. So we are perfectly clear on this, our payment periods start on the 1st and 16th of each month and we send out all checks to any affiliate over the $50 minimum within a few days after the 30th/31st of each month and the 16th or each month. So if you're counting days, give it about 5 business days or so from the 1st of the month (i.e the 5th or 6th) and the middle of the month (the 20th or 21st) to receive your checks and if you are outside the U.S., it will obviously take a bit longer.

We also MUST have W9s on every single affiliate with a US payment address, so if you are in a different country (it looks like you are in Canada) and you changed your mailing address at some point recently from a Canadian one to a U.S. one, that's why the checks stopped coming. We also send out emails to everyone who doesn't have a W9 with us on file to let them know this, and we're also now going to start sending out hard copy snail mail letters with every check to let everyone know this as well.

Lastly, let me just say that posting half-cocked, zero-evidence threads about other people's programs isn't cool, and the rest of you (Abby) passing judgment on us based on allegations that aren't true is really bad form. I'm sure Roald and our other affiliates can attest to this.

Abby, I inquired about a couple of your models because we have one of the best, and highest caliber model rosters on the web and there's a good reason for that -- because we run a top shelf organization and treat our models and affiliates and customers really well, so please don't go around spreading stuff that isn't true.

I have been promoting Pinup Dollar sites for 7-8 years(?) or from day 1, and never had any problems with payments. When a few checks got lost in the mail, and my emails went unanswered,i just simply wanted to know what was up,and had no intentions to accuse your program as being a deadbeat.Your actually far from that.

Anyways, everything has been resolved and thanks for your help.

I posted it in here already -- [email protected] -- see post #16 in my initial response, but I guess you didn't read that either. I would advise you to start reading things all the way through before you go off spreading things around that are out of context at best and totally inaccurate at worst, as you have done twice now in this thread.

And I'm pretty sure I already know what you're talking about. We overhauled and totally upgraded our entire program back in late March of last year, switching from CCBill only (and their affiliate system) to NATS with cascading billing with multiple billers. We had a lot of affiliates under the old CCBill system as as part of the segue into NATS with those affiliates, we dropped their CCBill percentage to 1% but had their NATS percentage at 50% all the way through the end of April, so all those affiliates were actually earning 51% for all sales and rebills during that time period. Once we fully completed the migration, the CCBILL program was closed and everything remained in NATS where all our affiliates could clearly see and track all their stats. A few affiliates misunderstood this transition and were only logging into the CCBill system, and freaked out when they saw the 1%. Once this was explained to them and they logged into NATS they could see the full story behind it all and it was resolved.

So once again, you only had half the story, but presented it as if you had the entire one. Like I said, reading all the way through and getting all the facts first is more advisable. I don't mean to sound harsh in my tone here, but I hope you understand why I react this way and that posting random rumors about people is really poor form.

And Frank, thank you for clarifying and for your kind words -- I'm glad we could get that worked out for you and thanks for being such a loyal affiliate for so long.
