Also was the first movie I've seen where they show a closeup of a penis being chopped off.

Cannibal Holocaust is the most realistic & gruesome film I've seen. If they really killed animals making it I'd believe it. Hopefully that girl wasn't really raped with the rock though. The documentary style and music make it downright creepy. On a related note DO NOT watch Cannibal Holocaust 2, it's terrible and nothing like the first.

Bought an original DVD, so not banned here, however it was 3 years ago.

The movie is cruel, but not that horrible. You can notice many of the scenes are faked.

They didnt kill the animals for fun. Bear Grills does the same in Ultimate Survival.

The most cruel scene I have seen was probably putting the cat into the pool full of rats in "The men behind the sun". That was CRUEL. :-(

Obviously anything involving humans was faked, but none of the animal killing was. Supposedly they ate the turtle, and the natives probably ate the pig. But what about the tarantula and snake?

They also had to kill two monkeys since they didn't get enough footage when they killed the first one.

Not that I am one of those animal activisits or anything. Just seems pretty hardcore for a horror movie.

I had to check out A Serbian Film based on what people were saying on here. Now that is some twisted shit. Probably the most sadistic and evil ending to a film I have ever seen.

If you watch A Serbian Film, it will take weeks to leave your memory. Seriously fucked up shit for no good reason. They definitely win the award for "Most Fucked-up Move I've Ever Sat Through" with that one, but then again, I never made it the whole way through August Underground Mordem, which is right up there.

Dead Girl is pretty fucked up, but it's not even in the same league as those two.
