LMAO< abuse in gitmo? These are guys that were living in poverty, living at gitmo where they have salad bars and cable TV I'm sure is a real travesty

Barry is not the first president to talk about nuke reduction, the new start treaty has many flaws and wasn't enabled till last month.

LMAO< YOU want to give Carter credit for bringing down the USSR? now you're just acting like an idiot

And still you havn't said one thing that warrants giving him the Nobel, please show me where he increased a sence of PEACE for the noble peace prize?

You asked for things that he did within that period of time... I listed them.

Yes, abuse in gitmo is without question.

He doesn't have to be the first, and it doesn't really make a difference if it has flaws, he did do it.

I never gave Carter credit for anything. Russia did it to themselves.

The Nobel Prize isn't given for increasing a sense of peace, so I truly can't show you that. It's given for the effort given, which I have shown you though.

You havn't shown me anything that wasn't done before by others, nothing stands out, it was less than a month after he took office he the nomination , you can't prove anything, because there is nothing there!

He ordered a reveiw, but what was done? Still open, FAIL!!!

5 December 2001 START I Deadline United States and Russia announce they have met final START I requirements, completing the largest arms control reductions in history.

Where is Bush's Nobel?, Or Clintons?

EFFORT< WHAT DID HE CHANGE?

The rest of the world still hates us, the way he handled Israel was really good, LMAO, Sorry, my dinner is getting cold, theres the door!

I'm not being a hater, but you havn't showed me anything that separates him from past presidents to deserve a NOBEL, you have NOTHING!

Vendzilla 02-03-2011 08:50 PM

You should read about the original start treaty, they deserved it a lot more that Barry

This isn't about other people or what others have done... I'm sure plenty of others deserved the award more.

But that isn't for you to decide, the panel that gave him the award said it was his dedication to nuclear reduction and his talks with others throughout the world, promoting peace, changing global opinion, etc - which both did happen.

I really don't give a shit if you accept that they gave it to him for arms reduction and making the world a little less pissed off over an illegal war. Accept it or not, that is why he got it.

You seem confused.. the award is given for effort, not for change.

He doesn't have to be different from past presidents to get a Nobel. I never had anything, I simply stated the actual reasons he got the award - and you can't accept that, because of your hate.

Sweet, after the largest build up in history, they reduced our arms slightly, making the largest reduction in history very easy to reach.

Looking at that link, looks like several Presidents and many other World Leaders would get the Nobel. Not sure if they normally give it to a group of people over a 20 year period of time, I'm guessing not.

GW Bush? The chart cuts off in 2001...

adultchatpay 02-03-2011 09:20 PM

he deserves it

NetHorse 02-03-2011 09:40 PM

Obama, now Wikileaks.

I think Chris Mallick should get it next.

The biggest build up that bankrupted the USSR and ended the cold war because of economics, not a shot fired. True Leadership with a peaceful solution.

Yes, why didn't they, all Barry did was make promises

GW was president for 11 months of that time, Barry was president for a month and got nominated.

So again, here's your challenge, tell me one thing that Barry did thats worthy of a Nobel Peace prize!!

It's not because of my hate for the idiot

It's because of people putting him on a pedistal without him doing anything. Brainless idiots!
I judge him by his actions,
The world is NOT a better place because of him, it has got worse!

They were building up before him, going bankrupt before him, it would have continued either way without him, and would have went bankrupt either way. So basically in your mind, it's good that he bankrupted our own Country, all to speedup the bankruptcy of another Country, and now creating even more cost on our end to deal with shit ton of out dated weapons... overall not very smart looking back at it.

Well, Obama did deliver on his promise, exactly what he won it over as well. Which was nuclear talks, reduction, more peace talks related to that, etc. Without question, he has given the "effort" which is required for the award... let alone he did deliver on his promise.

GW wasn't responsible for creating it or doing anything with it, other than being around when it ended.

Again, it makes zero difference if others should have, could have, might have gotten it. Even Obama said he didn't deserve it. But that still doesn't change the facts, to why he got it, and the fact that he is doing exactly what he got it for. Agree with it or not, like or not - it is "worthy" answer you keep ignoring.

I've never seen anyone put him up on a pedestal... He's our President, and like every President some people support them, right or wrong. That doesn't mean they treat him like a demigod.

Pretending as if Obama has only done wrong, is childish.

He has made plenty of good, solid choices, that have benefited our Country. Just like Bush did... Even though I don't agree with everything Bush did and for sure what he left us with, he still did make some good choices.

It's not the Presidents job to make the World better.

We can see through every statistical indicator in this Country that it has gotten better in almost every aspect in the last two years. It's not rebuilt, it's not perfect, it's still rocky even, some areas even still in trouble... but it is without question improving.

No President has ever done a perfect job and done everything we all agree with. And it has taken every President with the opportunity to rebuild, more than two years to do so. Expecting Obama to do it above and beyond what is even possible - means...

..YOU are putting him on a pedestal and EXPECTING him to deliver the impossible, when not even those that voted for him expect as much as you do!!!

See here you go, you're going on and on about his presidency, but failed to point one GOOD thing he has done> Why is that?

Here you go again pretending as if he hasn't done anything good... just stop for a minute and think how ridiculous that even sounds.

I've already posted several good things he has done in this thread, and you ignored them.

At that, many other threads have covered the good things he has done. So... what is the point of reposting the same thing I've already posted at least 10 times in this thread, if you're simply going to ignore it?
