Then and Now
Take a walk down memory lane with me. Post a pic of you when you first got started in the Industry and a pic now. What was it like when you first got in the biz compared to now? I'll start.
Then:
I was 38 going on 39 when I entered this biz. The very first client I had was MeanBitches/Meanbitchbucks in 2006 (although I started in the industry working for AVN for a few short months)
It was the tail end of the glory days of online porn. Webmasters were still making good money, there were a decent amount of whales in the game, and sponsors were doing big parties giving out cars at shows.
Now:
I've celebrated my 40th birthday several times with a few hundred of my closest friends (you know who you are
), had awesome adventures in different cities both in the US and abroad, and learned A LOT. I travel less than I did several years ago when there was practically a show or two every month, but now shows are less about parties and socializing and more about getting business done and deals closed.
Obviously I have not been in the game as long as many of the real veterans here, but have been in it long enough to see major changes and met lots of people who have come and gone.
