    Twitter against the .XXX TLD

It's time to let the people at ICANN know we are still opposed to the ICM's .xxx proposal.

Log in to twitter and tweet:

@icann: adult webmasters don't want the .xxx tld

    or

    @icann: I don't want the .xxx tld

    or

@icann: please reject the .xxx tld proposal

It only takes 1 minute of your time to make a difference.

You can tell by the replies here that people care. :-(

The industry will get what it deserves.

Shame really. But truth is, most are drooling at the thought of buying primo XXX domains.

why do people give a shit about .xxx, when they still support Xbiz..

They also, support the illegal tubes.

.XXX is just another way to fuck the small webmasters over.

For anyone who hasn't got a twitter account or just wants to give their support staff a bit more workload, Icann's direct contact message form can by found:

                      http://www.icann.org/en/contact/

Again this will only take a couple of minutes.

Icann are the same as any business. Adult created shitloads of revenue for Icann through the adult registrations of tld's such as the .com, .net etc etc. If they thought people will rebel over the extention in the coming years it may give them a little rethink!

What is the greatest fear with the .xxx tld? I guess it's that the governments will actively require all adult sites to be registered with .xxx On a 'lower' level I suppose Google could rank .xxx tlds higher for adult keywords, out of their own volition or under external pressure.

I agree that the apathy of adult webmasters is frightening. Most people here can't see more than 12 months ahead. What organisations are actually fighting this? The Free Speech Coalition I assume/hope?
