How do keyloggers get added to your PC - is it something you have to download or can it automatically be installed upon visiting a malicious site?

Any recommendations on what is best for detection?

Nothing is free. There is way more to that program than people being nice and programing it.

There is free anti keylogger tool where when you typing it tells you does your typing is recorded somewhere where it shouldnt be.And those antikeylogger programs are probaly bullshit,what you need is antimalware program like malware antibytes.

could be autoinstalled if you visit the wrong site using the wrong browser, if you wanna be sure get a packet sniffer and sniff your outgoing packets, no anti-keylogger is worth using . mwb is good for removing bad stuff
