Back in the 80's I visited the Philippines when was in the Navy, where sex tourism, sex bars and brothels was and still is the norm. Just realize that all of the girls come from very impoverished families who have "sold" their daughter to pay off a loan that the family needed for some reason...often medical. Many countries like the Philippines does allow a creditor to have the police arrest and lockup a debtor who cannot pay or will not pay. The creditor can use the force of government to make a debtor slave of the person. the girl has no choice but to stay and she is trapped because the more she stays the more debt she occurs and the more she has to pay it off...in short, she can never pay off the debt.
The brothers and bar owners will tell you that the girls are medically checked out, though that seldom ever happens. If the local government requires the girls to have papers, they are often forged or the bar owner just bribes the police to simply stamp them and move on.
What bothers me the most is that a lot of the girls at these sex hotels are underage, and they have no ID so there is no way to legally prove age for these girls.
