    Anchor Babies cost LA county 600 million last year

    The $600 million tab was tallied using county statistics released by Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich who says social spending for those families rose $53 million in November and when added to the $570 already spent would edge the yearly welfare bill past $600 million for 2010.

    Antonovich estimated the figure using the cost of food stamps and other welfare benefits used by California?s CalWORKS program. The supervisor also pooled those numbers with public safety and health care costs.

    However, county officials say the "total cost for illegal immigrants to county taxpayers is $1.6 billion
    Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

                                      Too late, the school system is suffering because of the resources being drained, the hospitals are being over ran and resources drained, the Jails are being overran and underfunded because of the resources being drained

                                                  I think that anyone born here illegally isn't a US citizen. Period.

                                                  I understand the law here; One of my friends was a anchor baby long before the term was invented. Father came up from Mexico working on a work visa, legally brought his preggo wife with him intentionally so the kid would be a us citizen. That's fine, that's legal.

                                                  But being born here illegally should not make anyone a citizen. Not when a crime was commited to make it happen.

                                                                                                          There is nothing in the constituition says your parents have to be legal in order for you to become a citizens. The 14th amendment explicitly states that if you are born here POOF you are a citizen. They did it for a good reason. So the qualifications to become a citizen weren't subjected to political whims. If it were 100 years ago people would be complaining about the Irish immigrants "ruining" our country.
