They did a good job moving my sites and getting my VPS setup. I try to avoid VPS plans because they can still go down due to other users on the server. Although maybe Xen is better at managing resources so that doesn't happen.
Their support is good but not always that quick. You might be waiting a while for something to get taken care of, I never use emergency/urgent status though. Their plans are pretty cheap if you need lots of bandwidth, so you can't expect cheap plans and amazing support. They also have different levels of support, but most web host do. Their support team is probably sick of me by now and they haven't said GFY yet so that's a plus.

The first reply nothing was done. The second and third I asked them to add some IPs to a file and they replied after they did it. Honestly I think it's fine for what they charge.Comment

Without having my stuff at Amerinoc, I simply wouldn't be where I'm at today.
You will be very happy there and only ask yourself why you didn't make the move earlier.
About adding IPs, I of course have no insight at all what happened in your specific case but I do know that IPs sometimes can take a bit of time to re-route. And if I were a tech, I wouldn't reply back to the customer before it's in a working condition.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

for me the opposite, virtual hosting is great
vps forget them, no real ssh access,no root access, everytime you wanna shell you need to contact support they are managed, so if you have no problem in contacting support everytime you wanna install, fix something they are okay but forget them if you are used to fix things on your on on the shellComment

I guess you're talking about my post. They weren't adding IPs to their DNS or anything like that. It was just to whitelist my IP range on my server for stuff I had installed. There was nothing they could do to see if it was working right except ask me sense it was my IP. The response times I posted are normal for me, not just that ticket. I guess they don't like me if you guys are getting these amazing response times, oh well.Without having my stuff at Amerinoc, I simply wouldn't be where I'm at today.

Jimmycastor, this is a misunderstanding of what you ordered from us. Our current VPS plans on the site are listed as managed plans. We don't give out root access on our managed plans as we aren't going to compete with the client when it comes to managing the plan, we are not the only hosting company that handles their managed plans this way. If you really want a self or semi-managed plan with root access on a VPS plan all you have to do is contact us. As to SSH access, all VPS and Dedicated plans include SSH access, you just need to submit your IP address to support so we can add it to our firewall. I have a small virtual account with them that got shut down wednesday due to me not being able to get to my bank 2 states away to deposit the money to make my measly $11 payment. I emailed support and they got my sites back online until Friday like if I was a big player and they needed my business.
If that isn't top notch, I don't know what is.
