Checked one of my WP installs in FF and Chrome and they look the same.

Try SRWare Iron (http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php)

It's Chrome with way more privacy and way less data sent to google about what you're doing.

I've been having a lot of issues with Chrome lately and it sucks because I've become completely accustomed to this browser, but I guess as you said time to blow the dust of Mozilla.
