You can blow 4 to 12k on a hair transplant, they do work it does look natural unlike the plugs back in the day. They now implant follicle per follicle. For a natural supplement I go with procerin. http://www.procerin.com/VarA.html?KB...FVln5QodgjFgHw
hair transplants
propecia pills, although theyve just been in the news in the UK as they affect the sexual drive. I recall the guy on the radio saying somehting like "yeah they helped with the hairloss very well but for my sex life they ruined it"
a friend of mine had hair transplant and it didn't work out...
he is now bold plus has those kids of small dots on his head...
another friend of mine, even younger than me used all kinds of medical products
you can buy in pharmacies or order by phone and nothing worked out...
and then one (girl)firiend of mine used some kind of natural herbal oil made for hair
and it really worked out!!! she stopped using it and her hair looks good now...
she's a (very sexy, natural) woman in her late 40's
she started loosing her hair while in very stressful period of her life
while divorcing from her husband who got some brain illness (gone nuts)
and even tried to kill her... (long story)
so recently I noticed my hair is going away too, and I started using the same stuff
it's really PAIN IN THE ASS to use it, and you have to do it every 2nd day
to put that oil on your head/hair, to keep it 30-60min and then to wash your head.
Oil smells good, after washing that smell is completely gone and hair is silky and smooth...
I can already see some results, even I sometimes forgot to use it for couple of days,
since as previously said, it's really not easy to use, and when you put it on
you have to be careful not to mess up your clothes or other things with that oil..

I know 2 men, one uses rogaine and one used propecia, and both got very positive results. Not a miracle, but they both had some regrowth and have been maintaning.
My friend who used the rogaine had the most dramatic result, he was losing hair pretty much across the entire top of his head. In his 20's it receeded and thined a bit in the front, by 30 he wore a hat pretty religiously and he lost so much when he took it off it would set you back a bit. The rogaine really helped him out. He can't grow a pompadour or anything, but he just looks like he's thinning again, knocked him back about a good 5 years.
The friend who takes propecia did not have such drastic results, but at the same time was not as bald to begin with. This friend has thinning hair in the widow's peak area and in the yamaka area. Propecia pills pretty much halted the balding and added some moderate regrowth.
I don't know if it makes a difference but my friend who uses Rogaine is fair hair, blone / blue eyes. My friend who uses propecia is dark haired, medium brown hair / brown eyes. They are both pretty waspy as far as heritage.

There is some interesting work going on right now with stem cells and hair loss. Like all other stem cell research, this looks very promising and early testing has been successful in REGROWING hair completely from the same follicle.
had my head shaved in college against my will. i look like a retard. not a good look. whoever said its all mental, some people ie me do not look good with a bald/shaved head
Is "looking like a retard" due to your hair though?

yep, it was on the news last week. what stem cells are going to do in medicine is going to be incredible.

As one of the few females posting in this thread would you care to offer your opinion as to men going bald, how females view it and what you think about guys that go to drastic measures to try and stop it

I think the most attractive thing on a guy is confidence, a much bigger factor than hair. Not every guy looks good with a shaved head, but I think if you do a close buzz, like maybe a 1 guard all over, most guys look fine. A good example of what I'm getting at is Jason Statham:
He's a perfect example of someone who's going through common male pattern baldness and chosing a tight buzz rather than monkeying around with hair plugs or hair clubs. He's not really hiding the fact that his hair is thinning and I think lots of women find him sexy.
As for guys who choose to go to drasic measures to try and hide it / fight it, two good examples of this are Nicolas Cage and Brendan Frazier. There's something almost creepy about the appearance of men who fight too hard against the hands of time. I think most women don't find fake on a man to be attractive, that goes from fake hair to fake teeth.
Generally, as others have mentioned, it's a more a mental thing on the part of the person wearing the hair, what they feel comfortable with. If you feel comfortable in your skin you'll project confidence and put people around you at ease.

Thank you for the honest response and I think it reflects the thoughts of most decent, intelligent women.
I mentioned it being a mental problem because it's not like getting fat or cancer or losing a limb. It has very little affect on the body physically so it becomes a mental thing as to how a person choses to deal with it. Social stigma regarding baldness is still prevalent but in reality, people that look down on baldness are no better than what they perceive baldness to be.
I say don't be a slave to it. Understand what really matters and set yourself free.
One thing I know for sure. All the hair that are missing from the top of my head suddenly started to appear in my nostrils. Which kinda sucks, but not as much as for my 'hairy back' brother.

ha - as u get older whether u have hair on top or not you have to take care of more hair poking out of every orifice.

I bought a 32 oz bottle of Nioxin a year ago, use it daily, and still have a ton left. The stuff lasts a while if you don't have super long hair. I'm not sure if it really works or if it's just a mental thing, but I haven't noticed any significant hair loss since I've started using it.
i used a 1 clipper before because shaving it all was a bitch - now just use headblade, it's fast and smooth.
