    So I'm #1 on google for "bisex"

    But only when I make a search here from Europe.. if I try via hidemyass.com, which I assume gives my the US result, I'm only #1 on the second page..

      How fresh is the ranking? It is normal to have sliding rankings from their different data centers. Though if you are highly established it should be pretty much the same spot across the board.

                                          I was kinda hoping that that question wouldnt come up, see.. when I saw my #1 placement I noticed that I had no sales on that site for quite some time.. so I tried to make a test signup myself.. only to find out that I left the join page offline a couple of months ago during some maintenance and forgot to put it back online, DOH .. been fixed now ofcourse

                                          Anyways.. I had the same domain #3 on google 4-5 years ago, back then it did 6-7 sales a day.. so now I guess #1 could bring in 1-2 or so

                                                                                                                  Is this an assumption or based on personal statistics? I kept track of several of my top terms for about 6 months up until I lost everything back in the spring. From actual numbers I kept, I found that every step you move down the first page from number one you're losing anywhere in the range of 15-30% of the clicks you would have picked up from being one place higher, and the difference only grew the further down the page a term moved.

                                                                                                                  The path of least resistance is the path most often taken, and my personal numbers seemed to support that wholeheartedly. I imagine it makes a big difference who exactly is ranking ahead of you though.
