Domains on eBay - does anyone buy them?

I am constantly seeing people posting domains for sale here with links to their eBay auctions, but the domains on eBay don't seem to get any bids. Does anyone ever successfully sell adult domains on eBay or is it a waste of time? All the omain threads here turn into three pages of "$1.50 for everything!" so I was thinking of giving eBay a shot, but I'd like opinions from people who have tried it.

Thanks,
SpaceAce

Space,

I have seen the same thing. I don't know how much you are looking to get for your sites but a few people do this.

Host a cookie cutter website on the domain.

Sell it as a money making site.

Charge for hosting themselves.

They get $50 to $200 for a cut and paste site. And maybe downline

stocktrader23,
Yeah, I see a lot of those. I am not really interested in starting a business to do this, though. I just happen to have a nice pile of catchy and original domains I want to sell. Some of them get a little traffic from search engines, linklists and TGPs, but mostly I just want to sell the domain names, themselves.

Since all the "domain for sale" threads here seem to turn into contests to see who can act like the biggest fool, I am looking for alternatives. Someone was kind enough to point me to some domain sales sites, but most of them seem to have little action or exorbitant fees for the service you get.

I'm sure there are people here that would be genuinely interested in your domains. Instead of posting them or trying your hand at eBay, why not post something to the effect of; "I got good domains, email me for a list"?

Maybe I'll do that. Lately I've been registering more domains than I could possibly develop any time soon and maybe someone else can use them.

People are always welcome to email me at webmaster @ avsweasel . com or 8106140 on ICQ. I might start a new thread for it after some of these other domain threads drop off. I don't want to flood the market

I won 7 bids on ebay for so-so domain names, but everytime, they don't accept the money claiming they forgot to put a reserve price, and when you complain to ebay admin, they don't give a shit because you're talking about adult domains.
So, I'm not wasting anymore time on ebay.
I think it might be worthwhile to have a service that puts seller and buyer of domain names in contact, but not for crazy prices.

i tried to win some adult domain auctions in the past and im 100% sure the owner of the domain was bidding higher with other account trying to bring the price to unrealistic levels. Of course I gave up.I'm sure the same domains will reappear on ebay.

When I put my TGP up on Ebay, I had a lot of requests on the stats and everything, and people asking me if I would divulge the reserve price, I ended up getting a couple of bids, but nothing close to my selling price
