Thing-O-Matic factory in a box is pretty nifty

It would be kind of cool to 'print' your own working bottle opener, for example. It is a sort of 3D plastic printer... - Story and pics here

That machine looks pretty nifty, much smaller than the prototype machines of yesteryears.

Its a neat toy, but if you're seriously wanting to make butt plugs get this one - http://www.dimensionprinting.com/uprint/

Its the one that Jay Leno makes all his butt plugs with.

It can even be used to make spare parts for itself.
Self replicating then. Only ever need to buy one and a load of plastic for it to chew up.

I love that in the list of things it can make that is provided in the article they just slip in 'spare parts for robots'.

They'd do that for you, but then it'd cost just $14,095 like its competitors.

Epson has a few of them coming out next year. This is going to be a big consumer trend in the next few years. Instead of ordering and having stuff shipped to you you will just pay for the digital file and make it at home.
