Put out a company memo about personal hygiene.

Don't say anything but buy one of those auto delivery room fresheners (set for every 10 minutes) and hook it up on top of their monitor pointed right at them - that should just about do the trick but if they don't get the hint, at least the room will be easier to be in with them there :)

Every time I am in a plane and it stinks, I take out a small perfume vaporizer and spray around me, a few times people actually clapped :thumbsup

I can only imagine the hours of conversation spent on this topic in that office.

When I was 19 I was "nominated" by the company president to have to tell an employee there was a BO issue. I was young and intimidated, so the best thing I could come up with was printing out the page in the employee handbook that mentioned hygene and highlighting the parts I felt applied to her. I ended up for the most part just handing her the paper to read herself.

It didn't go over well. Her boyfriend, who also worked there, screamed at me for hurting her feelings and said she couldn't bathe regularly because she had a heart condition (WTF?!). The problem was short lived though as they got in a fist fight less than a week later.

If you have HR that's the person who needs to deliver the news, if not the best way to deal with it is to just bite the bullet and have the conversation in the most gentle and polite way possible. If an employee has a BO problem it's unfair to your other employees to let it go and not address it.

Stick a finger in a pickle jar, then hold the finger under their nose and go: "This is you."
Done.
Next issue?
