Recommendation needed to add 2nd Monitor to laptop.

    Hey Gang,

I am looking to add a second monitor to my laptop and wanted to know if anyone has recommendations for a 2 headed monitor solution for a laptop that only has a single video input.

    Thanks.

First, it would be " output " .
Are you sure you do not have a VGA out on the laptop ( most do ) ?

If not, you can get a USB dongle even going to DVI or HDMI ... *( search Ebay ) .

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

depends on the laptop. Some have docking support built in.
If not, then there are a lot of docking station alternatives that works with usb on any laptop.
A docking station will have a lot of outputs, like multi display, usb ports, mouse keyboard, sound etc.
I'd suggest looking into that, rather than a display replicator.

I have VGA ( which is taken by the monitor I have now )

There is HDMI as well on board. Which I have cables for ... Just didnt think to split the monitors that way ...have to give that a shot.

Docking station - not possible since this is a corporate IT laptop. Not my personal one.
