    Godaddy disables domain due to alledged wrong whois with almost no warning

    This is a warning about godaddy. This is by John Chow:


    Yesterday, GoDaddy sent an me an email saying the Whois information
    on JohnChow.com was invalid and needed to be corrected. The email
    stated I had five days to correct and respond to the problem.

    However, within a few hours of sending the email, GoDaddy disable
    my domain and redirected it to a different page.

    My blog was down for a full day while I tried to reach someone at
    GoDaddy. I blogged about the ordeal here:

      Yup they are terrible when it comes to that stuff. Many times I have read this type of story. No idea why people still use them.

          i avoid godaddy like the plague, not just for reasons like this, but their UI is terrible as well.

                  Logging into my GoDaddy account, I found that indeed, the contact info for johnchow.com did had an error. The city of Richmond was missing the R.
                  That's pretty messed up. I think ICANN needs to get involved and mandate some discretion and common sense here.

                                                      I thought John Chow was banned by Google for a long time too for trying to pass off paid endorsements as honest reviews.

                                                      I am not saying GoDaddy don't suck, just that John Chow likes to push the boundaries and see what he can get away with.

                                                      So when he has issues there could easily be more to the story.

                                                              Someones using my personal info for one of their domains and nothing has been done since I filed a complaint with internic 2 months ago. Of course this guy is using some fake registerbuddy.com site through enom and just not responding for whatever reason most likely.
