HIGH-END GFX Specialist available for IN-HOUSE position, REMOTE preferred?

Happy Holidays!

Instead of reviving a near-2 year old thread I figured we?d start fresh. My last post received a ton of love from past clients, those whom I have worked with and those who respect what I do. Once again, I find myself in a position where I am seeking full-time work. There's work to be had, people are hiring quality workers and that makes us a very good match, indeed!

You can learn a lot about me from the above linked thread. As for my resume and portfolio, check my sig. My portfolio is a bit thin on the adult side as the overwhelming majority of the adult work I have done over the last couple of years has been for other design firms?but rest assured, I can do the job:

I have been remote in-house for SIC Cash, PimpRoll/AdultElite/porn.com and others?and IN-HOUSE for AEBN here in Charlotte. I have designed many of the sites you promote, love and make money with. I have designed for dozens of Cash Programs since 1997 and I have been a hired gun for MANY of the design houses posting here, past and present, including AAA Adult Design, Blue Design Studios, Wyldesites and Zuzana Designs.

I am looking for a PERMANENT opportunity! If you have a real opportunity please give me a shout on Yahoo (gfxwiz_michael), Skype (apgfx.michael) or ICQ (148 167 599) and let?s talk about it!

I will, of course, also quote any projects you have on a freelance basis. I just want to work!

Thanks for looking!
~Z~

Michael comes highly recommended. He did a ton of work for me when I had AAA Adult Design, and has since done a good amount of contract work for me. His work ethic and design quality are 2nd to none! To top it off, he can has PHP and mysql skills as well.

You won't find a better designer - Period!

Hey...I appreciate that. Like I said...there's work to be had. Sometimes we go to work for people and their situation changes or it just ends up being a poor fit. When that happens, you just have to grin and start over

My biggest problem is I have been out of the freelance game to the public eye for so long (pretty much since I went in-house for AEBN back in '04!). Since then I have either been on contract with a company or taken overflow from other designers/design firms. If I had kept my name out there I am sure I'd just be plain, old busy as I always was. But I didn't -- and I'm not!

Why would he do that? He didn't write it like that. He indicated "IN-HOUSE, <-- COMMA REMOTE preferred".

I'm looking for a full-time position with a stable company. I prefer working remotely as my life is here in Charlotte...and my son has special needs which are being met here making me extremely reluctant to upset his little world for something unknown. For what I do, how I do it and the results I produce, remote should work out just fine. And I tend to put in a much longer day when I am sitting here than when I'm working a 9-5. It can be hard to separate home life from work when they're located within the same 4 walls...but, what can I say? I love what I do so it's hard to separate myself from it anyway

Remote is the best! You just have to have strong ethics and self management

I'm still working on a trial project for the one company that isn't requiring me to be in-house...but until I have a formal offer from someone I am going to keep putting the pans on the fire...you just never know how things are going to turn out.

So, I'm still looking and hopeful to find a stable situation

I understand and don't blame you. I'll continue to keep my eye out for you as well. You've come through for me on far too many occasions for me to not help. lol

A high quality designer that can also program is almost unheard of these days

Hey Zane... I know what you're going through. Finding a good solid remote position these days is tough. I've been looking since my days with HomegrownVideo earlier last year and am still doing piece meal work. That's okay, but would much rather have a solid full time gig. Your designs fucking rock man... best of luck to you. I can do php/mysql also... you'd think that designers with those skills would be sucked up pretty quickly. Oh well, we'll keep looking and eventually things will happen. Good luck! Not trying to steal your thread, just letting you know you are not alone out there.

A high quality designer that can also program is almost unheard of these days
If anyone could find me something, it's you, Mike -- I appreciate it!

Hey Marcus...no worries for posting in the thread. We're all in the same boat. As I said...I'm very fortunate...I am still working on a trial project for the one company willing to let me work remotely. Still waiting to see how it turns out And I've actually landed a couple of new clients in the process for freelance work with the possibility of work with another. So it's all good. Work is a good thing no matter what form it comes in...but stable work is the best, by far
