Senate Repeals Don't Ask, Don't Tell

By a vote of 65 to 31 this afternoon, the Senate voted to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.

Now, if they can get their shit together and pass the Zadroga Bill this lame duck session won't seem so lame.

a divided military is a weak military.

      this will divide them.

      and i say, good.

Hey, we can't wait until you leave the country

Also, I think many people missed this part, which is very crucial.

Under the bill, the president and his top military advisers must first certify that lifting the ban won't hurt troops' ability to fight. After that, the military would undergo a 60-day wait period.

Good. Saying, "hey, you can fight & die for your country, but shhh... don't dare tell anyone you're gay or we'll fire you", is pretty disrespectful, to say the least.

Yeah, now that the media is on it finally, I'm sure it'll be passed quite shortly.

if people hate gays so much you'd think they'd be okay sending them to the front lines to get shot at

Sweet... Another small step forward for America. With so many gays already fighting and dying for our Country - it will go all the way through without much of an issue, as promised.

They didn't have DADT when I was in, if they thought you were gay, they shipped you out. My daughter just got out of the Navy and she believes that it's going to have lots of problems. I'm for lifting the ban on gays serving, but I know there will be problems.
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                      think about that

Yeah, just like there were problems when blacks were first allowed to serve. Don't worry, in time everyone will get over it, and it'll become a norm, which is how it should be.

                              It is about fucking time......

Now those pussies that avoided military service (the draft) by pretending to be gay won't be able to get away with it again.
