                          Why? They're not that bad. There were tons of horror stories but I haven't heard single story in past year or so.

                          I lived horrors with Moniker (affiliate shaving). I had several problems with Namecheap.
                          And I have one or two tiny problems with Godaddy that were solved easily with their support.

                          I have no problems with them for long period. But I understand that you don't want your most valuable domains registered there as you need registrar with 100% reputation.

                                          I'm the guy that was banned for exposing oversee.net scamming of Moniker & Snapnames affiliates with huge videocap, screencap, e-mail communication evidence.
                                          I was banned for that by Eric with really funny reason.
                                          And then I've made new account, I've exposed my previous account and reason I was banned.

                                                              7,5$ coupons were common before Verisign .com price increase. Today it's usually around 8$
                                                              And usually for new registrations. Good renewal coupon is less common.
