This sounds pretty scary.... so long as you don't put much thought into examining the details reported.
The article's headline says that the missiles could "reach the U.S." Considering the average quality of the journalistic brain, however, that claim is probably worth scrutinizing more closely. ;-)
The article lists three missile types, the one with the longest effective range being the Iranian Shahab 3, with a range of 1300 - 1500 kilometers.
Miami is the nearest major American city to Venezuela, and it lays about 2100 kilometers from Caracas.
It may be possible to target some portion of Florida from some portion of Venezuela using these missiles, but my hunch is that the countries that have something to worry about with respect to these missiles are Venezuela's immediate neighbors, and not the U.S.
In other words, as trumped up fears go, this one is pretty freakin weak.

but, did you read about the scientist that was invited to North Korea?
NK has nukes now and is capable of producing about 3-5 warheads a year if i recall the article correctly..
this is far above what the world thought they were capable of and if the actually had a advanced delivery vehicle, we would be bombing them right now..
my point is that things are never as they seem and unless you are deep in the intelligence community, you will never know the truth....

Chances are Iran, NK, et al. have capabilities to nuke us, and Iraq and terrorists in Afghanistan didn't...which is why we freely went to war in both of those places and why we play cutesy with Iran and NK. We're probably being more covert in our efforts to quash them vs. all-out war. Various levels of the U.S. government are publically speaking harshly of news of Iran's plans to place medium-range missiles in Venezuela.
