With that being said there are two sides to every..
So although I smell someone may be keeping someone's recurrings, I dont know for sure and wish no ill will towards Dave, his prog and friends. (and there are many including me) But I get riled up when I see someone keeping someone's rebills. That would be cardinal rule #1 you dont break from my perspective. There are tons of progs now days who are being honest to their affils and who are not selling anymore but who are paying rebills right on time. Shame they never get their glory. But they do remain viable in mine and a thousand other affil's eyes. Thank goodness for the affiliate pit bulls around here who do investigate new progs and make sure they arent old scammers. This whole "lets just keep the rebills" is not going to fly without major flack being shot up. |
i am missing the "here is our cyberage girl of the month" threads
while i am listening to a song on the radio: "it's all over now" |
Nice name change Dave, looks like his partner bought him out or he had a falling out and is no longer associated with Cyberage. This is probably why he doesn't want to take any responsibility for the affiliates who didn't get paid.

It can take years to build up a professional image. Yet days to burn it to the ground. Congrats to him! |

Business aside, I don't see how any of you (with or without families) can blame Dave for his reaction to what I would consider a VERY personal attack. |
"Semi-Retired Dave" are you kidding me???
Sounds like you have been fired or kicked out the company. Apparently the other owner has a lot more ownership than you do. Why would you change your sig and your name because you are "semi retired". Why would you disappear for 2 months then pop back up and start distancing yourself from the company you claim to own. |
You mean he's driving that car and some guy is eating (MSG filled) Raman Noodles cause he ALLEGEDLY got shafted a hundie.
For fuck's sake. Times are tough. You ALLEGEDLY shaft guys out of money cause you truley need money is one thing (not forgivable but more understandable) but wtf man. |

I would like to again say my comments are more in general to ANYONE who keeps ANYONES rebills.
I have no axe with Dave, in fact I have never known a bad Dave or Bob. (as the song sort of goes) Just that the reasons given by Dave for keeping the rebills seems preposterous to me and hey this is business. And I can't sit back and let fellow affils get fried for reasons like these. I realize dragging the car in is not biz and sorry, got caught up. I just want everyone to pay your rebills. (insert TeenCat smiley gif) :) But these reasons are not good reasons to keep someones rebills. Rebills are the ONLY reason most of us are even here today. So hey, (to everyone, not Dave) dont touch the rebills. :) Comprende? :) Please :) Thank you. If you cant get my email, please dont pull my plug. :) |

If you want to lead the mob and go after CyberAge and Dave (or his online persona), then so be it. However you should have enough common sense to leave his personal life out of it. |

He admitted right here that he stopped paying people for no particular good reason, then he denied it later in the thread, then he admitted it again. I don't care about his history, he's a confessed liar and a thief NOW.
And the stuff about not being able to contact folks? When they are POSTING IN THIS VERY THREAD, like Sarah? Truly lame. |
I've found in my experience that the really high quality companies and people running them tend to get proactive and make things right when a mess like this occurs. In this case such a company would probably either reinstate the affiliates in question and give them a fair chance to update or delete the "old pages/links", OR they would pay these people out what they're owed and move on.
Putting everyone on ignore and playing the thread-pissing game is never a sign of a quality company, or it's people. And where lost money is concerned I've found that more often than not a few personal attacks on the board is par for the course. Don't want personal attacks? Then make the situation right. Period. To me the choice is clear. |

Well said CD, everyone knows it's all about longterm where money is made.. unless the prog has failed, noone shafts an affil today for peanuts.
To run a prog you first have to be a nuts and bolts webmaster with experience how things are done. The reasons, bad link list, no email contact.. please. Anyhow WHATEVER.. out of the way so me, CD, ForkBeard and YOU can make more $$$$$ :) Get the lame shit off the highway so the big muscle cars can STILL get it done. :) |
I dont get what being semi-retired or wanting to spend time with the kids or any of that other stuff has to do with paying up monies owed to people, as well as responding to people's emails/inquiries regarding their payments. Maybe I'm just cynical....

And I'll put my Candy Apple Red 67 Camaro with a 350 LT1 out of the crate from the factory, 850 Holley double pumper, Edelbrock HiRise manifold, N50 (da fattest) Mickey Thompson meats, Keystone Rims, headers, (of course) exhaust cutouts,(to fool da cops) and a 456 rear end (torque baby) against Dave's wheels not only for catching the eye of babes but also in a race. :)
Just one of two I've owned. Unfortuantly sold them both. But I built em. :) Dont make me scan em. Too much work. :) Only lost one race on the street ever. 1970 Dodge Charger 440 trip deuces (three two barrel carbs) .. I got him off the line with the 456 rear end but his deuces opening (highlight of my life) as he just nipped me at the line was a great thrill.. quarter mile Last time I ever really ran em. You have to be 16 and crazy for that shit. :) But fuck that factory wheels shit. :) Edit: I should add I was weighted down with two long haired screaming buddies shotgun and back seat or I would have easily nipped him. Fucker had it all. |

But if you think a 275/60/15 is a fat tire... and a mildly worked LT1 motor with 4.56 gears will beat a lambo.... aaaaaaaaaaaaand etc ... LOL. |
I have know the Cyberage guys since 1998 when we started NETbilling ad. Always a standup bunch. I know they have paid many of you ALOT of $ over the years.

So them ripping people off now makes it ok? You also were pals with Epassporte, you may be a good guy but supporting Dave until he pays everyone means nothing. |

I could squeek em in 3rd gear with the 456's. Many a guy had a thrill riding in the back as I lost another big talker in the rear view mirror but this was a tad before the new turbos ect. :) You may be right today. :) And yeah nothing to with the thread but it got boring. Actually I bet Dave's a big car guy. Cmon, how long can a SoCal guy like Dave resist this 454 and 440's talk from a midwestern guy like me. :) He prob owned a couple 'Vets. Now if he changed his rear end then I am in trouble other wise I ate vets for lunch. :) |

You only suppose to defend them for being topnotch when they don't admit to not paying people. When they admit to not paying people then you need to post about how they must have had a good reason. |

Which is still less than what the LS1 motors make stock. Gearing will get you out of the hole, but an overwhelming amount of horsepower and torque in any other cars favor will slingshot them past you after 330'. I have 3.27 gears in my car and it will still 1.5 60' on the motor. |
