Fuck, my brother got it bad 8 days ago;(

I just saw him today for the first time in 6 years. He told me he was in detox for a few days & now going to sessions and try to stop is addiction.

7 days ago, 8 cop cars came to is place & arrested him, he was delusional & thinking he just stabbed the drug dealer in their house and told is GF to call 911, she was also high;( so I guess she believed it & called.

He ended up in the psychiatric ward in the hospital, got injected in the ass so they could put him to sleep, he was basically going nuts. He had 10 000 cash in is pockets, cops took it from him, luckily he got it back.

I will not say which drug. He had everything, the drugs took everything away from him. DO NOT TOUCH THAT SHIT!!! ANY DRUGS THAT IS!!! IT WILL SCREW YOU EVENTUALLY!!

I was in Asia for 6 years, so I did not see him until I came back. So if I were I would shut my dirty mouth, you probably a selfish heartless bastard anyways...

Their was girl there tonight at the group session, she got addicted to morphine because of an accident she had 2 years ago and was injected with morphine because of pain and became hooked on it. It's crazy how many people are dependent on drugs.

Hey man I know how he feels, I had a lot my own house car etc.. after I found my ex wife cheating on me in 1998 I hit booze and pain pills hard so hard I lost my job in the fire dept Lost my house and car and everything I owned, almost lost my kids long story short I got custody of my boys in 2001 and didn't clean up till 2004 been clean and sober for 6 years but now, I have cancer and some other medical problems and I'm now perm on pain pills!

I was scared shitless for the first two months taken these things, but I gave my mother my pain pills and she has been handing the right does to me everyday! It's sad I'm 37 years old and need my mommy to hand out my pain pills! BUT I DON'T ever want to lose everything or my kids! I still have a lot now and my kids it's been one of the hardest things in my life to kick! Tell your brother if he really wants to stay off it it will get easier day by day! Good luck brother!

I am dealing with a loved one's mental health issues at the moment. Those are hard enough when the only drug involved is alcohol and it isn't the cause but more a self-medicating thing. Finding the strength to not simply bail - particularly when the consequences of things done during 'episodes' result in me being emotionally hurt time and time again - is nearly the hardest thing I have ever done.

So, I totally and utterly respect people that are sticking by loved ones with drugs issues like this.

Wow. Sorry to hear that pornjudge, but it sounds like your brother's on the right path now and glad to hear you are sticking by him through this. It's going to be a tough road, especially with the holidays, but be glad that he hit rock bottom without landing himself in jail. Best of luck to you both.

I lost a lot of time with my brother because of a dumb argument he and I had. We were always fighting as kids and carried that into adulthood. We lost touch for years. Then his wife pretty much forced him to grow and talk to me so I had to try my best to be mature. This was like 17-18 years ago.

Long story short, as adults we did become close. I found out he was a great guy and he was even looking at transferring from Florida to oHIo so that our families could be closer. The ironic part is he was taken in a car accident while he was driving to the airport he worked at (as an air traffic controller) to find out if the transfer went through

my advice: Now that you and your brother are back in touch don't let him go again. Help as much as you can when you can and just be there. Sounds like me might still be in the 'fucking up process' which will take discipline and patience on your part but in the end it will forge and incredibly strong bond. I wish you the best of luck
