I feel left out now since I've never had in and out. 5 Guys is pretty good tho, they win a bunch awards every year in the DC area anyway. You are right about sharing one order of frys with two people tho.. usually plenty. Always got to wash it down with their birch beer too. Didn't hear anyone raving about them providing vinegar, not that I'm a fan but you don't see many other chains with that.

Never tried five guys, but fuddruckers was my all time favorite until they changed their cooked temperature of meat policy. I like all my meats cooked blu rare so I am now limited to a few places that will cook to order. Brennan?s and Houston?s still cook to order , gotta love a good tasty burger ;)

Five guys is one of the best burgers you can get, for a chain. We have two pretty close to us and head there every now and then.

And to all the other comments mentioning fast food joints. Five Guys is not fast food. I don't know a good way to describe it but it's like semi-fast food, there's a ton of those types popping up. Like Noodles & Company, Qdoba, Chipotle, Brother's BBQ, Illegal Pete's, Fat Burger, Smash Burger, etc etc etc. Where you go in and have to order and sit down and wait for your food.

Totally went to five guys for dinner because of this thread.

Love it too, because me and the girlfriend split a mini burger and regular fries. Only finished about 70-80% of the fries. So we have drunken munchies when we get back from the bar tonight. WIN. :D

White Manna in Hackensack, NJ are supposed to be some of the best burgers anywhere. I havent' had it yet, but that is the word on the street.

I do love 5 Guys and their various burgers and bacon hot dogs.
