Who can check my server for Spam?

I noticed my server's IP is on some spam lists even though I have never used it for email myself, only a few emails to sponsors etc.

Who can go in there and see if it is sending spam for me?

Nothing to do but switch servers... my sites got blocked for porn being on certified known for hosting porn sites even though sites in question had nothing to do with it.

Don't waste time, switch now, ask questions later

OK stupid question, I host porn sites, obviously so why wouldn't my new server get blacklisted the same way?

Don't worry its not your hosting. (havent checked that)

This came to my attention as i signed up for OCcash the other day. I noticed they hadn't approved my account, so I reviewed the process and discovered I had signed up using my gmail account, which they claim they will deny out of hand. So I signed up again using one of my paysite domains and then sent them an email to let them know why I signed up twice.

The email bounced with this message:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

[email protected]
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<[email protected]>:
host mxgw1.mail.nationalnet.com [66.115.128.189]:
554 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host [38.107.220.152] blocked using
b.barracudacentral.org;
http://www.barracudanetworks.com/rep...38.107.220.152

I went through the "unblock" process at barracuda but they mentioned in there that my IP ad been reported for spamming in the last 30 days and that just doesn't ring any bells at all unless there is something going on that I am not aware of.

I was not concerned that it was us, TBH.

The reason I asked is because there are a ton of RBLs out there, but few that mean anything. Personally, I have never heard of Barracuda, so I can't speak for their practices, but there are several that will never release you without some kind of payoff.

*edit, just checked and got The ip address 38.107.220.152 is not currently listed as "poor" on the Barracuda Reputation System.

A couple years ago my box was hacked and used for Spam.

The good people @ http://colo-cation.com/ took care of everything before I knew it happened

They said they would lift the rating for 48 hours while they investigated.

I guess we'll see what they come up with. I'm surprised there isn't someone offering a monitoring service for this kind of thing. If I was the only person stupid enough to get hacked there would be no spam in the world. (except mine)
