NATS sales from other affiliate urls

I see a lot of sales that show up with other affiliates nats' codes as referring url.

How can this be? How can a guy join from another affiliate's url and I still get the credit?
    Not that I am complaining...

The only explanation that I can think of is that the surfer must have visited the sponsor site through my link first and then visited again through another link - with the second link not tracking correctly.

If a nats linkcode has the word "track" anywhere in it, that resets the cookie.

So if one nats code directs the surfer to another url where he clicks a second nats code that has "track" the cookie is reset and the sale is credited to the owner of the second nats code.
    - As soon as I think up a good sig it's going here.

But how many are going in the opposite direction where your referring urls are granting them signups?

Have the affiliate program submit a ticket and we'll determine why you are seeing this.

I just figured nats sucks in general, why should tracking make any sense. I just hope the poor guy i stole a sale from gets one of mine to even it out... no not really but i bet thats what happens

Its 99% probably caused by improper linking which some affiliates mistakenly link to tour links with their nats code WITHOUT passing through the /track/ NATS link code provided.

                            For example:

Visitor goes to Affiliate A's site whereas he clicks on a NATS link and sets a cookie/session for that user.

Visitor then goes to Affiliate B's site but Affiliate B is linking to http://www.scoreland.com/?nats=XXXXX instead of http://join.scoreland.com/track/XXXXX/ (proper link code that sets cookie/session).

The user then signs up with the referring URL of Affiliate B, but credit was given to proper linkcode that set the cookie/session from Affiliate A.

                            /class dismissed.

Yes but how does that work with FHGs?

I'm wondering if any of you who saw it went back to check the referring URL?

Did it have the track in it?
