...there would be a market for discarded gallery submissions

Yes: there would be a market for discarded gallery submissions
NO - not the rejected submissions!

But I know that most big sites bin something like 1,000 submissions a day without even looking at them!
Whereas I'm sitting here trying to fill up my new TGP site with decent galleries (as if I don't have anything better to do!)...

Thank God (that's me! because I was so clever) I planned ahead and collected a few thousand gallery bookmarks over the last few months, and with most TGP galleries it's rather easy to find the clean page (w/o recip links - first I don't want only recips to other sites, and second I know guys like Shemp and Hun get really upset if people are using their gallery pool...).
But still:
I would happily buy an un-reviewed list of semi-decent and up-to-date submissions for 1-2¢ per submission! Just think about it.

...what I relly need are some good "Fetish" (no sick stuff) and "Group" galleries.

But think about it:
Some site offering gallery pools or so could be run as a business...
Similar to Bake's plug-in gallery lists (which work well if you design your page around the list)

There used to be a similar service sending out 20-30 galleries links a day by mail but they stopped it.

All submissions to The Hun's get reviewed. Every single one of 'em. It would be very rude not to do this I think. After all, my site is only links to other people's content. Sure, they have traffic to gain, but the gallery submitters are the reason I have a page to build traffic with in the first place. Bluntly disregarding submissions would be showing huge disrespect for the ones that helped getting my site where it is today...

Now I know this is a bit off-topic, but I was surprised to read here some TGP's have thousands of unchecked submissions laying around...

I have always wondered if you could gain an edge by writing Hun a nice lil' note on the submission form

The Hun is big enough to not have to give a shit about anyone, yet he still treats gallery webmasters with respect.

Hats off to that.

Cheers

If you don't need descriptions (which I prefer since they entice clicks), try www.gallerypool.com
Shane's EZ4U gallery pool is down "temporarily" while they're reworking it, but when/if it *does* come back up, the URL is
http://www.cuteteen.com/ez4u/

Have you thought about using a mirror service of approved galleries like ours?

http://db.richards-realm.com/tpmirror/

If you're after just filling your list with specific category galleries, then let us know, I'm sure we can work something out.

We review everything that gets through the filters and send out accept / decline e-mails for every gallery submitted.

Shemp - nice meeting you in Vegas Shoot me a mail some time and we'll continue that convo we last had in '99.

Hahaha! When I was on the blower to Greenie jabbering on about getting some grub, he suddenly reminded me that I had to speak American while I was in Vegas as he didn't have the faintest idea what I was on about

I used to have near-perfect recall, but these days my memory's like a..... oh, what's it called... big thing with holes in it ;-)

Thanks to all who went to the effort and sent a helpful reply! Unfortunately (only when it comes to postings - otherwise I LOVE IT!) I live on the other end of the planet and when you're busy I'm asleep - hence no reply from me until now...!

Regarding all the suggested gallery plug-ins:
I knew a number of them (not all), and me thinks that sublime is offering one, too (which didn't get a mention).
The problem is:
what one reviewer accepts is not necessarily what the next one would list... This doesn't mean that what I find in these plug-ins is all bad, but from what I checked in the last hour I would have probably rejected 30% (or so). To get more cj links I might use some of them at a later stage...

I will open my site early next week and initially try to feed it with as much decent link exchange traffic as I can get from my own sites, some good friends out there, etc. So I hope to get 60-70% of un-scripted trade traffic to start with - and I want all first visitors to bookmark my site!

My feeling is that in order to get a high proportion of bookmarkers to start with I will have to offer them decent links which I personally approve of... Hence I'd rather pick my own links!

I'll try to contact you, Shemp, later this evening when there's a chance you're online. Cheers!

One thought behind this post was to spark an idea for a novel concept, eg. something like a submission bank or submission ebay: where big TGPs sell/offer superfluous submissions and small TGPs can buy them. Once the basic scriping is in place a site like this could sell all sorts of things: content, traffic, design work, etc. One big adult brokering site! But I don't have the time or scripting knowledge to get it started...

Cheers!

George (from 'down-under')
