    Getting Started

I am looking for some feedback on a start up plan. I have been a web page designer for other businesses for a little over 6 years now. And am looking to start making money in the adult business as opposed to just spending it. I have kinda had a finger on the pulse of the industry for a while through one of my friends but I was hoping to get some other suggestions as well. I was wondering what type of suggestions the more experienced and new start ups may have.

I was thinking to get myself started I would launch a TGP and do traffic trades as well as search engine submittals of the TGP and variations of it. I was thinking I could build about 10-15 pages for my TGP myself a day and also take submittals from others. I would also submit these pages to other TGPs.

I am personally a fan of teen material, however like anybody else I think anything can be good. I was thinking though that you got to have some kind of focus, and I was considering this as my initial focus. Does this seem like good content to start with or is there a better area to focus on to get conversions?

With what affiliate programs have you guys had the best luck with? Does this sound like a viable way to get started? Does anyone know of any software to automate any part of this plan (running a TGP or generating pages, etc) to help me be more efficient? Any suggestions on policies for a TGP?

    Thanks in advance.

Pick a niche you are comfortable with, don't just jump on Teens per say. A TGP is a good start, but TGPs are getting overwhelming in some ways. Play a new gambit, do a TGP with a free site attached. Don't just bust ass to build your own content, keep it available consistantly. Never force a surfer to look for the "Archives". They want it now.

On sponsors, don't overload yourself. Feel out a few good ones to push. Again, do not push to much at your surfers, just give them some good stuff in small and good doses. Look for sponsors that have hosted galleries. That way you don't have to build contnet, it is there already.

Finally, get to know your competition. They can be your best allies. If you work with the other guys, it is much easier. Example, link trades, traffic trades, etc. Hell, even contact them for advice. Most of the larger sites will respond. In the long run they and you will benefit.

If you can look around and find an idea that hasn't been done before, you have the best chance of success.

      Just

If you think people will just shower you with money, it isn't so. We have a frind in the biz who basically forced us into adult through constant abuse about how we were missing out paying other adult webmasters to give away satellite dishes for free.

I still say there is money enough for everyone since we pay three levels deep, but we decided to try doing it ourselves also.

He was right, and we were wrong. We are having a ball already. (You happy you evil fuck?)

So do something that not everybody else is doing and READ everything you can. This board has been a great deal of help already.

      Hope that helps,

      Spoink

Thanks guys for your advice. I was wondering what people thought of Platinum Cash, as they seem to have a lot of goodies for webmasters like free hosting, and hosted galleries, etc.
