So long as you keep on top of it, it can be... but for the most part, exploits are found in it pretty quickly after each release.

I used it about a year ago and all my sites got hacked bigtime. I'm not sure if they have fixed the bugs.

nothing is secure , just have to keep update with patches

gotta keep it updated..but nothing is secure..I've seen vBulletin and all the others get hacked too

Run regular backups, and update everytime a patch comes out, and you'll be fine. I have about 15 forums, and bout 1 gets hacked every 3 months or so. I have them back up in about 6 mins, and go on with my day. lol

MiniBB is ok, as is VB. the long and the short of it, especially in Adult - run your forums on a closed box (ie, nmothing else on it) or some cheap virtual accounts.
