Payment system for adult website

If you want to find a payment processor, use google. It's not that hard. You will need a company or you won't have any luck at all. Search for "adult payment processor", "high risk payment processor" etc. - Write a mail to every payment processor you can find and ask if they are okay with adult projects. Also you could check which payment processor other sites use. Epoch, etc. etc. - Keep in mind that high risk clients such as adult sites get charged up to 7.5%-10% in fees.

Issuing an account to an online merchant comes with risks (hence "high risk") so you need to show awareness of standards in business. That includes things like registering a company and having 18 U.S.C 2257 statement on the site.

Them there are a the payment gateway , on which your company is charging the customer and you will have to pay to process the payment.

So when you start turning a profit and realize that paying 5-10% to process a transaction is too costly..it's hard to leave. You would have to sign up all of your customers a 2nd time since you do not have access to their billing info - which is a pretty difficult undertaking.

It's like calling the mechanic when your car doesn't start and asking him why he can't quote you a price to fix it over the phone. He has to see it before he can quote it.

If you go with one of those payment processors that has rates on their site....beware. When a company charges such a premium for services, they can accept nearly anyone and offer to pay registration fees along with other gimmicks. That should raise a red flag that they are making a killing off their merchants if they can afford to do all this.

If you're a decent merchant...why would you want a high rate when you can deal direct with a bank?
