I have been way down and way up so many times. For me that's just the life of an artist.
If I had all the money I earned I would live on my own tropical island.
I would also be dead 3 or 4 times if I let the weight of being down take me out.
When I was making bank I couldn't believe how fast the money went and the
beautiful girls came and left. When I was broke I couldn't believe how well I
could get on with so little. And the kind people stayed around. In the end it all
just evens out. Be happy within yourself and you will be happy no matter what.
And what doesn't kill you will make you stronger than ever.

I lost three houses, two of them legit mansions, in the real estate crash, and more than half my income to tube sites at damn near the exact same time. You can add on the decimation of the value of .com real estate to the list of fucking shitty things that happened in that time period. Never saw the point in bitching about it on GFY, not like any of these motherfuckers care anyway, and if you want to point the finger at someone point it at tubes and inefficient DMCA laws.

Jay, not to be critical, but perhaps instead of going to the Inn, consider checking yourself into a place that can give you some help.

You have two choices:
1. Continue going through ups and downs, that ends with you in yet another inebriated mental state of self-pity and blaming anyone, everyone and everything. Then, of course, the pseudo suicide threats. And when you finally get sober for a day or two, your head is still messed up.
OR
2. Get some help. Learn to enjoy life again.

This is just another example of why it is important to always be developing new skill sets. Jay did try several different things recently but results were dismal.
Sending traffic to some cam programs to the SEO courses he created (which were actually decent) got him almost nothing relative to the effort he put in.
Jay really peaked out about a decade ago. It was a perfect match for him; sex (100's of models/pornstars), drugs, rock 'n' roll. He truly lived it up to the stereotype.
I've only talked to him, never met him but he is someone I could certainly be friends with in the real world or at least talk to over a beer.
It's improbable he'll meet any similar success he previously met with his current skills. One thing is certain, he keeps acting like he does (the victim), his situation will keep getting worse and worse until...Comment

For over a decade many told Jay he needs to get 100% sober and he continued to shrug off the drug and alcohol abuse as "partying" and "social use".
Throughout all of his embarrassing fights (mostly getting his ass beat), drunk rampages, arrests and failed business dealings, many here bought into Jay's act that he was the victim and had gotten a raw deal in life.
Many thought he was cool because he banged porn stars, was open about his drug use and the face of a semi successful adult site network. Now that the money, his adult sites and his so called friends are gone, he's got nothing left and his downward spiral continues at warp speed. He won't see age 50 if he doesn't get 100% sober. With all his depressing hints at suicide, I think he might be ok with that.Comment

I'd stop looking at an addict who is killing himself right in front of your eyes and telling him "don't worry, everything will be fine". Obviously nothing will be fine until he's sober. He is still in denial as insane as that is to believe and you are enabling it.
He's where he is EXACTLY because of addiction and it typically ends in death.
What should you do?
