I always find when someone resorts to name calling they have lost whatever point they were trying to make.

One of the main reasons this thread keep getting bumped is because I can't chat with MediaGuy about 9/11 on ICQ. I'll never ever get any work done that way.

there is no debate.. healthy people don't believe their own government is spending all their time trying to murder it's own people. You know? the people that make up their neighbours, friends, family members?

The problem is that the government DID cover up a number of things with the incident. Whether it was for security reasons, or to just cover their own asses from looking helpless we may never find out. What the kooks do is take those cover ups and diversions and take a GIANT leap from "they covered some details up" to "THEY WERE BEHIND EVERYTHING THEMSELVES!" That's where the lunacy and the youtube clips come in.

Most kooks don't know the difference between evidence and theories. That's what makes them kooks. They are often completely bored with their own lives, often shut ins themselves often unsuccessful and shifted blame from their parents to blaming everything on the government. When in reality THEY are the ones that are responsible for their own lifestyles, security and success.

Haven't worked with Media Guy I don't think so I'm going with Rochard.

This guy is kook level 4. He is intelligent and was once probably capable of rational thought but that has escaped him for some time now. Not only does he whole heartedly believe in these delusions (amongst many others) he actually feels the need to recruit new people in believing this so they can validate his insanity for him--rather unique. I wouldn't call you delusional, you seem more misled which isn't as bad. You probably don't ruin family dinners talking about this stuff, you most likely don't make serious life changes based on those websites. You seem much more capable of reasoning things out compared to some of the other 'believers' here but at some point you got sucked in and misled with some bad sources and haven't looked back yet. You seem like a good person, good as any, why not focus on something positive instead? People have been yelling about the jfk thing for what? 50 years? Where has that gotten anyone?


I'm familiar with this because there was a short time that I got caught up in this conspiracy stuff too. It's intriguing, it's exciting, its makes you want to jump up and do something, but i soon realized it was based on nothing more than propaganda created by a group of fringe who have done nothing with their lives other than capitalize on peoples fears. That doesn't represent a person to follow, those people are nothing more than snake oil salesmen selling fear to the afraid. Some will claim that's exactly what the government is doing, but the government is made up of people who are educated, they had to be hired, people who had to get elected, people who had to earn the respect of voters for their leadership. Guys like alex jones just sells dvd's and books.. see the difference?
