So this faux grassroots commercial (extremely well organized, produced, and funded) plays in also part of it. Wars don't get fought to help poor people... they get fought to "protect American Interests"...
Roads don't get built to help poor people... that money gets spent to improve logistics
Trade agreements and export agreements aren't done to help poor people... they are so the wealthy can sell their products
I can go on...

Wealthy people are wealthy because they GIVE, not because they take.
I am not a big proponent of corporate welfare, but in many cases it helps our economy by incentivizing investment and propping up prices.
But absolutely nothing good ever comes from welfare. It is a pure waste. The cost of welfare is ginormous and dwarfs everything else. The reason because not only do you lose all of the money, but because you take millions of otherwise productive people and turn them into parasites. And this way of life is then passed on to subsequent generations. And now we are in the mess that we are in because of these government ptograms. Why be productive.. when you can get paid for doing nothing?Comment
