    Business Banking for adult sites

I opened a business checking account at BOA for my LLC related to my adult site last year, however the guy who built/designed it for me told me I definitely shouldn't tell them the true nature of my business and to keep it vague like "private investment firm" etc. so I did that.

Is it really necessary to lie? I would imagine any bank would appreciate the amount of money that the adult industry makes every year, but I realize there's probably a lot of risk involved from their end.

I also opened a Venmo account and made the mistake of being honest about it being an adult site and they froze the account.

So does everyone in the adult industry have to lie when it comes to banking/payment vendors? That seems ridiculous.

It does seem ridiculous, but I guess better play it safe to avoid sleepless nights.

      BUSINESS BANKING FOR ADULT SITES
      ... an oxymoron

.....banks do not want to be hit by frivolous lawsuits ie:" My little Johnny, watched porn supported by your bank. Now he is permanently affected and since you have deep pockets, so we want 10 million in damages".

Ok that makes sense. But still...EVERY single adult site owner has to lie? What about the CEO of OnlyFans? Or I guess once you reach a certain status the banks are cool with it...

Yes, every single small adult site usually has to lie.

There is no bank that wants adult unless you are at a $10 million level or more. And even then, its not a guarantee.

BOA is one of the worst for adult. You should open at least 2-3 back up accounts so when Acct #1 is frozen you can easily shift to a new account.

No need to lie, just be diplomatic. If you have a webiste called “ wetgirlspanties.com” call your account “fastlaundry LLC” (or WGPLLC) just be smart about it.
