Selling art/prints online?

Hi,
I know this is probably not the best place to ask, but some of you have great experience about marketing in other verticals, so I thought why not

I have a friend who is an aspiring 3d artist, and she more or less regularly holds actual exhibitions, so we actually print her work on canvas. This is obviously not cheap, we are talking about huuuge prints.

She would like to get some of her investment back by selling the prints, also to clear some space in her apartment.

Beside the obvious(etsy, ebay, advertising on her in instagram), what can we do to sell them?

We don't want to charge a lot, since our goal is just getting some of the printing costs back, so she can keep going.

Also, I must mention, she is a formally trained artist (soon getting her degree from a good university), not some random gal from deviantart drawing manga.

If anyone has any ideas, we would be really thankful

Don't know where you're from to know if they do this kinda thing there but you can try to start a festival where you can buy a space for the day and set something up. not sure if your friend is looking to sell long term but it could bring repeat buyers if so. My wife did it for her crafts she makes. It was a lady's thing so i couldn't be there to see how it went. or maybe an art expo? if that do those things. Hope this helps. if not i tried.

Social media seems to be a legit way of advertisement. Can always also create website with all the artwork and sell from there as well. Merchant site can be created using Shopify or Square space, if supported in your region.
alternatively, though it depends on your friend's desires, she can push her art to become more commercial and work with print on demand companies like Society6. From what I understand the start there might be slow at first but eventually it picks up with a right strategy.
