Porn-Style Directories in Mainstream

They are in the Netherlands, actually.

Back in the early internet days, startpagina.nl used to be one of the most visited websites, amongst the Dutch folks... These days, there are about a ton of clones out there. A lot of them still up and running.

But yeah, outside of the Netherlands, you don't really see much directory style websites outside of adult... I can't think of a single one.

One reason you see adult niche is because it is not accepted on other social platforms. Hence, they have to launch their own.

I think people refer to those as a "toplist" more than a "directory"
