A biological male who identifies as a transgender woman won a women’s world championship cycling event on Sunday.

Rachel McKinnon, a professor at the College of Charleston, won the women’s sprint 35-39 age bracket at the 2018 UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles.

McKinnon, representing Canada, bested Carolien Van Herrikhuyzen of the Netherlands and American cyclist Jennifer Wagner to take home the gold.

McKinnon celebrated the victory on Twitter, writing: “First transgender woman world champion…ever.”

Well.... Most major news organizations don't cover cycling, and certainly don't cover the UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles.... (I got Cycling magazine today and I'm guessing it's not even mentioned because I've never heard of it...) and... Even less so because it's women's cycling and no one cares.

There are what should be very obvious reasons why the Olympics and many major athletic events test for gender. Liberals can deny biology all they want, but men and woman are very different in 1000s of genetic and physiological ways.. some of them dramatically affecting physical and athletic performance.

Can't wait for the first California asshole to identify as having Down Syndrome so he can clean up at the Special Olympics while Liberals are forced to defend him.

Not all libs are for this kind of thing.

Assuming Men are physically stronger sometimes, I think that a biological male should not be allowed to compete or be measured against women and especially win an award just because he identifies as something different.

If you want to blur the lines between genders or create new ones that's fine. IF you want to have a sport where everyone from every gender can compete then that's fine too, but identify it properly.

If you're going to have Womens Cycling, allow only biological women. Create a new category simply called Cycling, and let everyone regardless of gender or gender identity compete.
